Cup RACE thread ---- Bristol

As a HMS fans, I gotta admit that I’m a closet fan of Cindric. Plus, Penske is definitely running better than HMS right now, so I feel Cindric will be more competitive than Bowman going forward.

Cindric and his crew did a good job completing the last pit stop when the RF caught on fire.
If had been any worse it probably would have been a DNF and elimination.

Burton should have gerbilized the Bristol Firehouse, Cendric on the verge of disaster theme or tag line.

Sounds like I missed a good one last night, but it was opening day of archery season for us. Listened to the teardown on the way out this am and will definitely try to watch this one on the dvr later this week.

Wild race and I still don’t actually understand what happened to Hamlin’s tire. But it was an amazing contestant on its own and should get a charter.

I agree, but he got rear-ended. So I cant really blame the guy. or denny
Yeah - Just a racing deal there really. In hindsight not the best idea for Chase and it's on him. Nice to see cars fighting for the bottom like the old Bristol though. JHN was going to let him in I think because there was room but the lane stacked when he did and that's life. It was over aggressive on Chase's part though so I am glad no one else got taken out in it and also nice to still see Chase showing aggression.

It was a great race - far better than the one I went to in the Spring.

On to Loudon where HMS has been terrible for a while. So bad in fact that I live about 2 hours away and I won't be there. LOL. That said, they ran well at WWT and had been bad there. If they do run well I will have more hope for a title for one of them this year but man the Toyotas are just killing it right now.

Make some room, the Larson fans are next.
Not sure about all the gloom and doom. They both advanced and Chase was able to advance despite 2 of 3 races having bad results. He ran well in the last 2 which is important but the last month to so has really put into perspective for me just how special his top-20 streak was and how easy it is to NOT finish there in this sport.

You know you're getting old when you look at the drivers' intro music selections, you recognize only 17 of the artists by name, know only two of the tunes, one of those is a cover of a decades-old song, and the other is a sponsor's ad.

Now excuse me, please, I have to drink my Metamucil before the fiber settles out.

They do something similar at the High Limit Series except they take a driver's playlist and play a line or two from many of his songs during the numerous breaks. Some drivers will surprise you with what they listen to.
