Cup RACE thread --- Chicago

Chad: What's going on?
JJ: Is something wrong?
Chad: Yeah, f**k, when I say we need to run 20s and we're running 50s, something's wrong!
JJ: Hey, why don't you just calm down and drop the 'f**ks' and keep your head in this thing?
Chad: *laughs* I am calm

Their radio communication is the best :lol2:

Love these in-car TV audios of the driver/crew chief communications.

Announcer: "Let's listen to the conversation over the radio"

ZZRQSRRZ...break up...RZZQR

What?

Just tuned it.

Has the racing been this close all race long? This is great!

Well thank heavens for the "Chase Implications"...otherwise this would be another typically boring Chicago race

Dear MTJ, its a stock car race. The cars have fenders - get used to being hit.

It's been a fairly interesting race. Particularly since the yellow threw a monkey wrench into the race.

I've never been an expert on tools...but I worked on cars and other things with my Dad...and I can't remember him ever asking me to pass him the "monkey wrench". Is there actually such a thing as a monkey wrench? Maybe like Vise-Grips...so easy to use that a monkey could do it?

just curious.

Okay - sorry to go off topic -

It's an adjustable wrench

The monkey is the user.

Interestingly - and not to pick at nascar - but if you look at the line above and then drew a line which would come across to the infield (axis of the track) - the line on pit road is messed up and it should be right around the center of the Moog decal - which would mean the #4 car should not have lost a lap. I don't mean to be a pain but I did take a few college Geometry classes :D

The thing is - even with an imperfect circle - the line on pit road should "bend in" - not out.

48 complaining super tight in, loose in the center. Going straight into the corner.

I'm giving this race 7 boogity's so far.

Blaney's been losing 4 or 5 spots every stop. Pretty ******. There was a great battle for 8th brewing when the yellow came out.
