Road courses and short tracks.
Remember when @StandOnIt and @Revman would snipe at each other for pages at a time? I miss those good ol' days.
To be fair to your point, I did say "finest hour" and "all race" lolIt wasn’t all race tbh. I stopped, then Nitro, who I was replying to there said something to me, so I replied towards what he said. I don’t see what the problem is with that. Then SOI came along near the end seeming to blame Denny, so I pointed out how it was Larson who came across his nose. All race would mean I would’ve been talking about it all race, which I did not.
It's been pretty remarkable. Vegas probably was good enough to win with a better stop and no yellow. That worked out. Phoenix he just got beat. Daytona was **** luck. COTA was **** luck. The only luck he’s had so far this year is bad luck.
Me neither, the same ones complain about every race, what's different? I'm unfazed lol. Some people think they need rules on top of rules to somehow control organized chaos. They love and worship "race control" ...as long as they do everything they think they need to do to interfere with the racing. They can't change Nascar and that eats them up lol.I didn't see anything embarrassing about COTA. NASCAR fans had been complaining about the lack of road courses for years. NASCAR is catering to their fans by adding many of them, which I think is awesome. There will be some growing pains, but I think we're headed in the right direction.
I do apologize if it came off annoyingly, I just honestly didn’t like someone getting the blame who didn’t deserve it. It’s like the week before when I blamed Ross at Atlanta. But once I saw the replay, I realized my mistake. To be fair to your point, I did say "finest hour" and "all race" lol

I missed the entire race and race thread, I was just reading through it and was like "Blaze was on it on Larson today". No need to apologize.I do apologize if it came off annoyingly, I just honestly didn’t like someone getting the blame who didn’t deserve it. It’s like the week before when I blamed Ross at Atlanta. he has started off as bad as you can start a season, I hope they find some good luck soon and go on a bit of a hot streak here. It's been pretty remarkable. It's frustrating as hell. There have been 3 races this year where, with less than 30 to go, I'm thinking "good chance he probably wins"he has started off as bad as you can start a season, I hope they find some good luck soon and go on a bit of a hot streak here.
I think he has been bringing a little money to the table to get rides. With his record, he would be lucky to get a ride in a local series.Ty Dillon has finished outside the top 30 in 5 of the first 6 races this season. His teammate Corey Lajoie hasn't finished outside the top 20 in any race. I don't think Ty makes it halfway through the season in that car. At one point, you wonder if it's luck or simply lack of skills. He didn't do anything in a Legacy car either.
This is no surprise, he's routinely underperformed in his many "second chance" runs with backmarker teams.Ty Dillon has finished outside the top 30 in 5 of the first 6 races this season. In my book, shoulda and coulda at Vegas and Phoenix. That late caution at Phoenix is to blame, while not the best car he was running with it. Daytona..... that was a crap shoot but he did have a good car. but yea very very frustrating and I have been there right along side you thinking the same thing with 30 to go. I just hope he doesnt feel desperation and begins to overdrive the car and get back into some habits he had at CGR.It's frustrating as hell. There have been 3 races this year where, with less than 30 to go, I'm thinking "good chance he probably wins"
Feels overdue for a win.

According to Bowman, he got pushed into him by Ross. I would need video evidence (clear video evidence) to make a choice and an opinion on the matter. So, is Bowman a hack or was he exonerated for wrecking Suarez?
He complains about the same people complaining about the same thing over and over to the point that they are just annoying and not accomplishing anything. There is a big difference. The guy who complains about complainers every single week is... "unfazed", right on

The top 12 places were from 10 different teams. I don't think we will hear many complaints from the teams. That turned out pretty good for them.Has any of the teams been talking about this and making a fuss? If it was a major problem for them than I would expect them to be the first to say hey we need to rethink this whole program.
World of Outlaws abandons it if there’s too many cautionsDoing single file restarts at COTA would help with restarts but that will never happen.
Reddick was fine. Were there others racing him? Didn't notice.Expecting drivers to climb a 133 ft hill at 170 mph and go in to a blindside hairpin curve is an embarrassment.
Not Briscoe. No way. They broke it down on race hub. Bowman was first with Chastain next and Briscoe was behind Chastain. Briscoe hit Chastain who hit Bowman pretty much all at the same time who hit Suarez. Amigo goes nuts on Chastain and Bowman when it was Briscoe in the rear who was involved also lol.
What I was pointing out is having 36 cars to do that is asking for what happened in the race, Reddick making it is not the point.Reddick was fine. Were there others racing him? Didn't notice.
Since you're hinting at the 1977 Kyalami tragedy I think I should clarify what I said about marshals on track.Nobody ever thought they'd see a guy holding a fire extinguisher get hit by a car and kill both himself, and the driver, but yeah. Cars aren't gonna fall from the sky. Youre right.
Rifle-launched grappling hook. Snag the debris and drag it back. Add debris-snagging competition as part of All-Star weekend.
The problem with doing it in nascar is you have twice as many cars on the track to keep track of compared to F1Since you're hinting at the 1977 Kyalami tragedy I think I should clarify what I said about marshals on track.
In F1, MotoGP and a bunch of other series I've seen it countless times when there has been an incident after a start/restart a localized yellow came out and marshals went on the track to recover pieces of debris.
Race control monitors where all the cars are. They’re in contact with the different marshal posts around the track and signalize marshals when they're allowed to go on the track and when they have to get off.
I absolutely don't want to return to the safety standards of the 70s but I think a full-course safety car isn't always necessary for something like a tire carcass on the track.
The first 60 laps of Sunday's race were NASCAR road course racing at its best but nobody is talking about that, all the talk is about the ****show at the end.
NASCAR has to consider ways to prevent this from happening in the future.
I hope they will at least consider single-file restarts at Indy, Chicago and COTA.
Also, all modern road courses have openings in the inside armco that allow for damaged cars to be pushed off within seconds. During the overtimes in Sunday's race several drivers tried (and failed) to drive wrecked cars back to the pits. NASCAR should consider to order drivers to park at one of these openings when this happens late in the race.
