If this sort of dominance had been taking place when most people were aware of and loyal to the manufacturer there would have been all sorts of controversy and whining. As it is now most people are driver fans and don't care what decal his/her fave drives. Back in the good old days if a driver or team owner switched manufacturers they became instantly hated by those that previously loved them and loved by those that previously hated them. Now it doesn't even rate a yawn.
 
Not sure if this is posted anywhere else yet but the penalties for last weekend are out.

Looks like Newman got a 15 point penalty for failing post race LIS. They do not plan to appeal. He is now 22 points behind Jamie Mac.
Larson also got a 15 pt penalty but his win keeps him in the chase.

Other penalties are in the article but nothing too shocking.
Of note, there were no penalties listed for the John Hunter Nemechek team for the end of the truck race.
