Was as fast as anyone during the end of stage 1 and looked to have a winning piece. The 18 second pit stop killed track position and they went the wrong way with pit stops. Finished the race better than he was, but still not as competitive as that first run. Definitely wouldn't rule him out of a win tomorrow. Just watching from the incar view (that was on NASCAR), he still gets around this place better than anyone else.Oh, and on another good note, Jimmie Johnson is above the cutoff line with another top ten! Bodes well for tomorrow!
Though without a win, a top 5 should cut it, especially since the 24 will likely struggle tomorrow as well.
