Cup RACE thread --- Homestead

I was so excited for these playoffs being a 9 fan. But man its draggingggggg. Can't even stop from hemorrhaging stage points. It's pathetic. His teammate can run 9 seconds ahead of the rest of the entire field and the 9 Can't even hold on to 6th lol. Man I cant wait till next year already.

Larson before coming to pits: "NASCAR, look how far ahead they're pulling, bull****"

Not sure what that's about.

And he's still going on about it.

Not sure what he's on about.

CBS has said they have no interest and the ESPN talk has died down ever since they renewed with F1.

Probably gonna have Apple or Amazon in there somewhere.

Really doubt NASCAR will do an Apple / Amazon deal. The ESPN on F1 stuff doesn’t matter that much given the time slots.

The 24 and 19 shouldn't have pulled up far coming to pit road with lap cars between 5 and P2.

Apparently there was a whole discussion during driver's meeting about it.

Cliff: "10-4. We're going to let it go for now"

Especially since we already have a viewership problem. Limiting that even more is not the best idea

I mean they're not green flag stops so who cares? I wonder what's going on
I guess the 24 and 19 went by the lap cars and shouldn't have been on the 5's bumper coming in to pit.

Larson was aggravated because it was apparently discussed by NASCAR in the driver's meeting.

I don’t know why everyone thinks NASCAR WON’T go this road when literally every other sport in the world has.

NHL, NBA, MLB generally only do that for local streaming, what local streaming is gonna work for NASCAR?

Sure, maybe Amazon Prime is an option, but even then local TV is required to show a teams game on Amazon Prime.

Too much money on tv. People already complain about TNF being on Amazon prime, and nascar is dumb. They really should just you know throw it on a streaming service and call it a day.

Chase last of all playoff drivers in points earned. Wow. Imagine if they were worth a s$*%

Huh?

Last year’s championship race was BORING. Most of the Phoenix races on this confirmation have been boring.

We’re clinging to a couple good overtime finishes.
Boring? That was exhilarating last year lol Larson made a bold late race pass to get past Truex for the win

Noah conquered Homestead yesterday after dominating years in a row. Is this the weekend Larson does too?

If it gave NASCAR more control over starting times, and fewer commercials, I'd pay if they moved everything to a stream.
I'd pay what I pay for cable for a nascar streaming service. I have a small cable package, but still. People pay for game pass, red zone, etc. Why not nascar. Trucks, xfinity, cup, arcade, k&n, pintys, the series in Mexico (if thats still a thing), on demand races, practice qualifying, they can make their own racing content, I really wish they would switch

I'd be ok with that

Chase is lucky that none of the other active playoff drivers are even running top 10, minus Byron and Ross.

100%. That's all it's been this playoffs. Leaning on the points cushion, and luck

A rather lackluster race so far, being shown by only 2 pages worth of comments. Doesn't seem anyone has anything for Larson, but I'm quite happy to see Byron gaining some stage points.
