I wonder if Blaney’s rf wheel and tire got hit. Looks like a lot of camber.
That looks bad on TV, but having been in a similar spot at the track before, I doubt he's seriously hurt. Steel toe boots are amazing for exactly that reason. He's lucky the quarter panel caved to make room as his shins got pushed into it. Door would have been completely diff story. Probably some nasty bruising especially on the knee, but doubtful of broken bones.

A move like that to avoid a wreck is instinct. Easy to blame him in hindsight but in the moment he made the correct move to limit damage to his car.

As you said previously, its instinctual for drivers to try to gain as much time as possible in the pits to gain some possible track position.

Larry Mac is the only CC commentator that knows what he’s talking about. Letarte seems lost most of the time with strategy which is par for the course for his career.

Steve is befuddled. The #4 crew are unlocking multiple potential positive outcomes. Don’t know why that’s so hard to comprehend. It’s like Pocono or a road course, you can complete a full stop under green and stay on the lead lap especially if you’re pitting from the lead.
