Man, Another good race. Everyone can hate on DFH all they want but I continue to say he is the best in the sport right now and it may be lining up for him to get that title finally. I was thinking Blaney will be the guy to beat if he can make the final 4 given what went down in NH a few weeks ago but with what happened to him he is goanna need to win now like Chae and Willy B and Logano will need to win to advance. I really enjoyed seeing the emotion out of Denny and I hope people can see more than ever he has been playing a role of the guy people love to hate and kudos to him for it. NASCAR needs that guy. 60 wins though. Have to tip your cap love him or hate him.
Also - HMS brought their A game on speed for sure and shockingly were better than the Toyotas which I don't think anyone saw coming. Larson and Byron were the class of the field all day as far as being up front. Chase though had the fastest car no one knew about because of how atrocious they were on pit road all day and then getting damage and a bent tow link in the last crash. I can't remember a time where I heard Chase being told he was fastest on track more than this race and if he could have held track position he would have been in the mix. You just can't have stupid things like an uncontrolled tire when it matters so much now. Still though, Chase had not been good at Vegas in a minute and it may mean that HMS has found something.
Interesting though that Toyota dominated Kansas only for Chase to sneak in and take the win and now we have had the reverse where Chevy dominated only for Denny to wrestle it away at the end. That's RACING. That's what we like to see.
