Cup RACE thread --- Road America

Any major racing series in this country that has a healthy diet of road courses should run Road America. We don’t necessarily need to lose this to run Chicago, even if that’s originally where the date came from.

That said, this is another place I’d hardly be opposed to adding 80+ HP back. Despite the massive car overhaul to be more suitable to road racing, the car runs slower lap times here than the Gen 6 last year. There are some looooooooong straights at RA.
NASCAR might have intended this car to be better suitable for road courses but it turned out to be ideal for 1.5ers.
There's a lot of downforce so a little more hp could improve the racing at short tracks and road courses, IMO.

Nascar needs to celebrate the 4th properly

Good effort by Reddick.

But that's all she wrote without a yellow.

Byron started 15th in stage 2 and moved up to 8th. He restarted like 30th for stage 3 and is going nowhere. I don't get it.

Debris in 11.

Top 3 leveled off in speed.

Rick Allen.

Chase Elliot did not have a 6 second lead in stage 2. It maxed at 3.8.

He does this on a weekly basis. How is this buffoon still allowed to call races?
