I hate waiting so long to see a race thread started. I'm throwing a green flag.

Are they going to get this thing in today? It looks like it's going to rain for a while yet but I think it'll clear up. I wish they had some lights here. I could go for a Sunday night Talladega race.

It's been confirmed..... The track is wet! ;)

I have a plan that may negate the weather. Just wave the green and have Tony throw a water bottle out his window. Have the field run under yellow for 92 laps while nascar looks for it, then do a GWC finish. ;)

They are saying the rain will move out and the race should start on time. I wonder if today we will see KuBu's next meltdown...

Drivers meeting starting as scheduled.

Saw this.....

If it takes 2 1/2 hours to dry track, there's NO chance the race will start on time unless the rain stops soon.

The rain should move thru to the east by noon and they can start track drying. It's light enough to race till about 8pm this time of year so I have full confidence we'll see a full race today....I hope :)

Looks like I need to make a decision as I have to take a 3 hour round trip to the Valley either early this afternoon or later this evening

I like that. I think I'd better go out and get some work done. Too dang nice to be sitting inside today. When this thing does start my wife and I will be watching this race outdoors today.

I got to the park at 7 AM and went for a long walk with some friends. We saw a Fox dig out a Mole, then decide it didn't taste good. Of course, I didn't have my camera.

Daryl Waltrip was spot on there. Thats what I said, they should of called off that restart last week at Richmond due to the confusion. NASCAR screwed up big time there.

Go Now! You will be back in time for the Green Flag - although, you might miss the invocation and the National Anthem!

The only one confused was Carl's spotter.

Crap, I almost agree with DW (getting my cyanide tablet ready...)

Yes, the double yellow line rule should be modified on the last lap, but only on the front stretch, and only coming to the checkered.

I'm reading that the green flag will be delayed by at least 45 minutes. Don't know if that's been posted or not.

So was the scoring tower which clearly showed Carl in the lead... It should of been called off.

If, and that is a big if, Carl thought he was in the lead, he is an idiot. He pitted, Stewart did not.

YEP! And the rain delay means we get even more! YAY!!!
I would rather see another stupid Hammond mini-movie...

Knowing FOX, they probably have his car mic'd up so he'll provide commentary and analysis during the race. If I could get MRN on the radio, the TV would be on MUTE.

Now NASCAR on FOX is covering baseball..........................good grief! Time to go buy an FM Radio that works worth a damn.
