*shyly raises hand* what’s a bleeder? Tire valves that let off excess pressure?Ive done this 30+ years and THAT was a bleeder!
Probably pissed that race went so long under caution when the shoe has been on the other foot so many times and cautions have gone against him. He also was running really competitive lap times and knew it was all for not. He's likely just sick of seeing stuff like this happen literally every year he's in this round. This is the first time I have gotten the sense that Chase and co aren’t mentally tough enough. That sounded like his dejection after Dover when Kyle ran him down.

PTSD for AlanAlan: “yeah, it gets us every time.”
Still don’t know wth he was thinking with fuel only there.PTSD for Alan
Truex wears panties. This has to be the weirdest race ever. Can't believe I was pulling for the 18 there at the end. I don't know how anyone could be a fan of that whiney lil female dog in the 19 car tho. That was irritating the whining from that guy. A champion of the sport. He expects people to just lay down and let him go on by. Wtf??? Lol
Gotta perform better in the regular season.Probably pissed that race went so long under caution when the shoe has been on the other foot so many times and cautions have gone against him. They’ll find it in tech and give win to MTJ, putting him in Finals.Holy moly! Cant wait to see the excuse, " TV or audio" noise !
Sounds like a team that doesn't have *it*/confidence/experience yet, I guess. Chase has had speed, but the fact is, he's still a full step below Kevin, Kyle, Brad, Joey, Denny, and Martin. I don't think championship expectations should be attached to him right now.Sounds like a team that consistently gets snake bitten in the round of 8 to me.
They should! Ive set more of those damn things then I care to remember and unless they can give me a reason why that sound was coming from the car, well...............They’ll find it in tech and give win to MTJ, putting him in Finals.

Round of 8 and a few wins should be his expectations with a wild card final 4 ceiling as of right now.
This was the first year the 9 showed elite speed most of the year. Id like to see them do what they did this year and correct some mistakes during the next 2-3 seasons before being a "contender".
Ultimately just not enough mileage under their belts.

If they can beat the 19, 11 or 22 it’ll be a miracle.I dunno why everyone is so down on the 9 team. What did I miss? He's GOOD at the paperclip. He ain't out til he's out.

I only saw the last 30 laps but I'm honestly surprised there was no team orders. I'm glad, but I don't think every team would have raced it honestly like thatIt's a true virtue of NASCAR that there are so relatively little team orders in play. There are many other forms of motorsports I consume in which the #18 finding a way to graciously hand the win off to the #19 to help the organization would be the de facto result. I'll always praise that. Nobody gives these Cup wins away.
Explain to me how it sounds like a team that doesn't have *it*? They were vocally pissed about something bad happening (again) at a place that's given them trouble since the repave. And then basically saying it's time to pony up and get it done next week. Sounds like they know they can still perform to me.Sounds like a team that doesn't have *it*/confidence/experience yet, I guess. Of course, your narrative all season - actually ever since he took the top spot at HMS from Jimmie - is that Chase doesn't have *it*, lacks car control, isn't a serious championship threat, and countless other things, so this take makes sense.
Chase is 5th in total points. I don't know what you are talking about.Sounds like a team that doesn't have *it*/confidence/experience yet, I guess. Speaking of points, I notice they show Chase and Alex tied with 4095 points apiece but they show Chase in 5th and Alex in 6th but yet Alex finished 5th and Chase finished a lap down in 20th. So I'm curious why they are listing it in that order? It doesn't really make any difference, I'm just curious.Chase is 5th in total points. I don't know what you are talking about.

Ironic coming from a poster who’s favorite driver has half the championships he does due to a points reset and being allowed to catch back up, not peak performance all season.Explain to me how it sounds like a team that doesn't have *it*? Chase isn’t new though and his team isn’t new. Chase has been a Cup driver since 2016, he’s about to complete his 5th full season. He’s 24 years old now and the lead driver of HMS, not a 20 year old rookie kid. Alan has been around forever since JG was his driver as well as I’m sure some of the 24 guys are still around on the 9 team. I just don’t buy what you’re selling on the team and Chase needing championship reps, their time is absolutely now. They’ve been the best Chevrolet team this year and the best driver at HMS (Bowman has done well too)Things change fast in racing, they have to start capitalizing on these Semi Final (last 8) opportunities because one of these years it might not be there, there’s always a new team or drivers on the rise that might take his spot one of these years. It happened to Kyle Busch this year. I will say their luck has been horrendous the last two years in the Round of 8 and at some point that has to turn around right? For whatever reason they just can’t find a way to get going in this round but that comes with needing to have about 2-3 more wins in the regular season for those playoff points that Harvick is using because he hasn’t exactly lit it up this round either. Those points come in handy and I think there in lies the problem....they need to win more races during the regular season to have those points banked up when needed. They just don’t have that right now. Chase is right there, he’s taking the steps needed to become a championship driver if he hasn’t already. The schedule next year lines up real nice for him with 6 Road Course races, I expect him to win 3 out of those 6 raceDon't be so defensive. And don't bring in things that have nothing to with what I said. They're a young team and new to having this kind of speed. Like any Championship team, reps are needed. This wasn't an ill willed post against Chase, and, specifically, it wasn't ill willed post towards you. So don't make it personal, like you have many times.

Like all others, he will go winless, you may have to wait a couple seasons though. So KDB got his first win in the 34th race of the year...
Dammit, I don't think he'll ever get this close to a winless season again.
You’ll never not convince me JJ is the best Chase For The Sprint-Nextel Cup driver of all time. I say that with 60% snark and 40% respect to his accomplishments.Ironic coming from a poster who’s favorite driver has half the championships he does due to a points reset and being allowed to catch back up, not peak performance all season.
Pit road penalties, untimely cautions and of course getting dumped by Kyle Busch lost Chase a ton of points throughout the season.
