Cup RACE thread --- Texas

2nd place Chastain didn't lead a lap.

Ross made the moves late to grab a much needed 2nd. Trackhouse hasn’t found speed in their prep for races so far, rolling off the haulers with poor qualifying results. Chastain wrangled that car into contention.

I am scratching my head and really puzzled. I had Chase's in-car and he passed the 1 quite a few times and I remember thinking a lot about how bad they are struggling right now. I guess they are all on a razor's edge right now and all running so close to the same speed that one slight adjustment can bring the car to life and track position means a lot.

Also really puzzled about why the 9 bunch can't figure out qualifying. At least if you had a good car like Chase and Blaney did you could make your way to the front but would sure be helpful to start there, LOL. I wonder how different Chase's day would have been if he cleared Byron for the lead.

Oh well. It was a good race overall which is nice to see at Texas.

Couldn’t believe he pulled that off considering how terrible they ran all day. As much **** as Chastain gets for his on track antics, he’s a hell of a driver. He’s carrying the torch for that organization.

Trackhouse is at a crossroads right now. All 3 cars are way off on setups. SVG for all the hype in rushing him into a Cup car, has been completely lost in the sauce. They’ll do the same thing to young Zilisch which will be a disaster waiting to happen.

Justin Marks needs to decide whether he’s running a marketing firm or a race team.
