Cup race

I do believe we're going to see at least a few laps of good racing today :beerbang:

At least with Hamlin winning, we wont have to listen to him whining.

now THAT is dumb. He's doing burnouts, and all the media people are already 20 feet from the car.

Biffle was my pick this week, and he came in what, 15th? I so completely fell asleep, where the he'll did he go? He was second when nap time came.

I can't believe how few people are in the stands...Sorta an indication of just how bad the economy is in Michigan, ticket prices are too high and how boring the races are there.

Weren't they selling out a few years ago?

One of the hardest hit areas by the econmy after all the troubles with the big three automakers.

It's the economy, not the racing at this track, but over all Nascar is in a huge slump. Did Daytona even sell out this Year?

Stands Looked real Full...they must not of shown the empty seats much..

I think he got screwed in the pits.

25 cars finished on the lead lap and there were another ten that were one or two laps down. Pretty interesting stat.

Congrats to Denny and the 11 team.

Good run for Kyle, Harvick, Junior AND Jimmie :beerbang:

I sure watched a different race and had a different take on this race than a lot of you. I didn't see the first commercial. I watched a lot of racing from the front of the field to the back and I completely enjoyed the "snooze fest."

Two things made this one of my favorite races this year. I was there with my best friend and JJ didn't win the race. ;)

I guess you had to be there. ;)

To be fair, when I watched Pocono, RaceBuddy was showing a completely different race than TNT's crap non-coverage was.

Interesting statistic some of you may have already read at Jayski's:

All time wins by car number.
No big surprise that the #43 led the way with 198 wins (Richard Petty won races using the #41 and #42 and Lee Petty actually won with the #43 first).
But what number is 2nd? #11
Ned Jarrett, Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip, Bill Elliott, Denny Hamlin are among drivers winning using the #11.

So the #11 has 197 wins after today. I'll go out on a limb and say the #11 will surpass the #43 with all-time wins by car numbers this year.

On a side note, the #3 is 3rd on the list with 97 wins.

Next thing they'll be putting numbers into the HOF.

They might as well with the #'s 3 and 43. I can't imagine anyone else using them again.
