they help keep air out of the car when they spin out, they work with roof flaps to keep the cars on the ground
Exactly what I always heard too so I'm rather surprised at this change, even if only as a stopgap measure. Sometimes I do wonder how they withstand all that heat

Some fun Dover Downs facts:

Richard Petty won the first ever race at Dover. The second and third place finishers, Sonny Hutchins and James Hilton were each 6 laps down. Fifth place driver Elmo Langley was 13 laps off the pace and 10th place was awarded to Cecil Gordon who finished 27 laps down.

In other words, engineering support from a manufacturer has been a thing for 50 plus years.

I referred to TMZ for a different reason.

It had nothing to do with Wallace.

Use your vivid imagination.

You can see it in your mind.

Now, this is interesting, but it makes sense for a double to put one wrap on top of another to be able to peel it right off for the next event:

I didn't know teams did this. Yes, I'm being honest, I did not know.

well we were wondering. Now we know how they do it. I noticed on KDB's car this race his wrap had a fade from metalflake to solid green on the side of the roof. Looks pretty cool.

Get ready for the most boreing track on the tour.

Cause the 48 looks amazing.

Also, I'm hoping my boy Nemo's ACME car doesn't disintegrate like Duck Dodgers' Disintegrating Ray.

The more I look at this scheme the higher it goes on my favorite scheme of all time list. Just awesome.
