Cup Series Finale at Homestead

Watching the post race, seeing them follow Hamlin walk through the pits, and it's just confirmed my belief that pushy autograph seekers are jackasses. Guy pretty much shoves his crap in Hamlin's face for an autograph.

Folsom, there's a time.

Agreed. The man just lost The Championship, it's really not the time to ask for an autograph.

Next year I'm watching Nationwide, and Baseball. F Sprint Cup. Any bets on Nascar fixing it for Johnson to win his 6th?

To all of you that are saying you wont be watching NASCAR next year. Yeah....riiighhhttt. I bet you be back here posting in full force come February.

No matter how you try to spin this, this is not good for the sport. The ratings are only going to continue to drop. Looks like almost everyone in the stands left.

The Chase still needs to be fixed, I agree. However no one can deny that this has been the most exciting chase season ever. What with Hamlin taking the lead in points in Texas, only to drop the ball in the last two races, and Johnson having to race hard in Phoneix and Homestead to win The Championship. You can't deny that this race and this Chase season has been exciting.

You should've seen 1994. Had the tire wars not nearly killed Ernie Irvan, that would've been down to the wire. Same with 2002 and Sterling Marlin's injury at Kansas.

1992 was also close.

All three with the old points system NASCAR says isn't exciting enough.

I have never been a huge Chase fan, but today I thought was pretty awsome. We saw three guys who had a legit shot at winning the championship and it was not wrapped up to the very end.

Congrats to the dynasty that is the 48 team and Jimmie Johnson!

I think this year was one of the best seasons of racing I have seen in NASCAR for many, many years. I will be having DT's for the next few months but I am looking forward to next year.

After all, Danica will win one next year and JJ will NOT get number six. :D

If the chase involved just 15 to 20 cars running for winner takes all in a shootout type of final race would there be more people interested in nascar?

I doubt it. Nascar has been going downhill(popularity wise) for a couple years now.

Nominee for best post race quote of the year

Asked about the wreck with Kyle Busch, Harvick said, “He raced me like a clown all day: Three‑wide, on the back bumper, running into me, and I just had enough.”

Hamlin jumped in: “Sounds like how your teammates raced me all day.” Harvick replied: “I just parked yours.”

:D

Damn, really? That sounds like fun!

If that happened, I have to see it!
