Curse of the #22

That's what Penske gets from abandoning two of his longest running numbers (12 and 77) for a brand new one!

In all seriousness, I don't think Logano will have any more incident this year, so at least they will have one season in the 22 where it was *mostly* uneventful.

If he can run incident free I think he's a real threat to at least make the chase this year. Anyone ever notice how Joey starts to pick it up around chase time though? 2010 I think he gained more points in the chase than anyone other than the drivers who were still mathematically in contention at homestead (Jimmie, Denny, Harvick) Last year he started the chase with I think 4 top 10s in a row and was the only non chase driver to do so. He fell of at Talladega however, and it was downhill from there but if he can make the chase and especially in future years he could remain in contention for a while. Hopefully long enough to close the deal but even I don't see that happening for at least a few more years.

Yeah, I'm rooting for him to make the chase. He's been doing a lot better in his new ride. Penske may have 2 winners...
 
Wow I think I may have managed to sway a few at minimum....when I came to this forum no one liked Joey lol.. I don't know if its because of me (I doubt) or the way he's been driving but I like it! I know Joey has gained more fans than he or anyone lost or gained this year so far..GO JOEY!!

If you're talking about the two posts above yours, they weren't members when you joined. I think that you're correct, though, in that Logano has gained some fans around here (and elsewhere) lately. Definitely more than last year. I'll dig up some quotes for you sometime ;)
