Dale Earnhardt Jr's Texas car to have two different sides - A no no in NASCAR

I agree with you there, the show just tries to hard to be something it doesn't have to be in my opinion.

The main character is an alien refugee and female superhero. One of the other main characters is another alien refugee. There's no way, that won't get political.

How have you not heard of it? I was bombarded with promos for it during the Truck Series race and during Supergirl last night.
When I watch the truck race, I watch off of the DVR..... No commercials. I've never watched an episode of Supergirl. Come on @AndyMarquisLive, you & I have met. Did I really strike you as someone that watches Supergirl? I'd be more a Wonder Woman type..... Don't you think? :D

They're both cute. But at your age, your Wonder Woman is probably Lynda Carter. ;)

If you are unhappy, I'm sure you can find places that allow anything and everything.
For us, keeping politics out of open forum works best.
Yeah, I never really get the problem with this. Everyone's got their own sandbox to play in. The Podium is open to anyone and everyone that would like to get that sand on them. Not everyone is interested in the political view injected into the NASCAR forum.

My point is that the promos for the movie are nonstop on multiple networks. Fox Sports, FX, TNT, The CW, NBC and so on.....

As for being the only one watching Supergirl, the show gets a 100.0 rating in my house and Melissa Benoist gets a 10/10 rating.

Can we please move all this content to the Random Comic Book Character Chat thread?

I really dont understand why "they" thought they could do the split paint scheme, someone should told the person designing the paint scheme that NASCAR says no to split paint theme.

No joke, the two things that are guaranteed to start an argument are politics and religion. I'd rather talk NASCAR otherwise I'd be on a political forum or Facebook. I'd rather argue about whether JJ has a chance at the next round then why candidate X is better then candidate Y.

It's a dumb rule.

Why cant a car have two different paint schemes? It's not like it allows for it to have an aero advantage.

Or does NASCAR think their own fans are so stupid that their brains will explode at the sight of seeing different sides? :idunno:

Rules are rules but I get why teams would forget its' even a rule. It doesn't make sense.

I think you've hit on something here.

Yep. Look at all the complaining here about drivers running multiple schemes during the season. "Why can't they run the same paint job all year like they use to back when I was growing up and the milkman came every morning and the mail was delivered TWICE a day?!?" Double-sided multiple schemes might push some here right over the edge.

I think its more of a of a safety thing for spotters.

Yes.....

From the article I posted in post #4

The rule is designed for safety reasons so drivers, spotters and NASCAR officials don’t get confused. Various sponsors, wanting to promote two different products on a race car, have been denied permission to split the car side-to-side. Front and back can be different colors but side-to-side is a no-no and must be the same color.

Kyles car today is different colors and products between the two sides
