Danica's Eldora Dirt Late Model Car

Today I got to get up close and personal to Danica's car that she will run at Eldora this year... Man is small and tight in that ****pit!!

She's in for a surprise if she thinks those things are gonna be easy to drive. I'm sure she doesn't think that but....

I understand that it is for Charity which is fine and all, but I don't have Speed nor do I have access to PPV where I currently reside, so I was just curious if any of you internet gurus here would know where I could watch a live stream of it online. I'm sure there are sites that cater to this, I'm just too lazy at the moment to look....too much BBQ I guess:D
 
I'll have to ask around and see who donated that car im sure its somebodies backup car for the dream. I hope Tony is working with her on those cars. They are a car where you gotta be on the throttle and wheeling it the whole time or you go no where. Especially Eldora. New drivers to Eldora are usually told to drive it in until you see Jesus and turn left. Should be fun to bad im out of town on business that day :(
 
Well if anything, this will give her some more hard racing experience, it'll help out in the long run. I personally think Jr motorsports should've run her in a few more ARCA events but what do I know...
 
The problem with using PPV for charity is the channel gets $10 per buy right off the top. After what it costs to film and put on the event, there's not a whole lot left for charity. I bought it once was was very disappointed, as most of the pre-race telecast was free on speed or some channel.

The extra $10 that DIRECTV charges for the HD broadcast is what's stopping me from ordering.
 
I think that was the only way to get it last year. They had it in HD for a year or two and then took it away. Never understood that.

Yes, belts will go in. She is actually getting a 13 inch steering wheel shipped in to use which is quite costly I was told.

I imagine the dirt boys take the belts out after every race and clean them? I heard the calcium and detergents they put on dirt tracks eats them up pretty bad ( I'm an asphalt guy myself ) A 13" wheel? must have a really good power steering rack!

No matter what she does (or doesn't do) there will be no shortage of haters chirping.

One thing to keep in mind is that even if she fails miserably she still will have done better than any of us could hope to do.
 
She is a racer so you can bet your ass that the one thing she will have is a ton of fun. Its no surprise that smoke asked her to participate and I'm glad he did. Go kick some butt on the dirt Danica.
 
Anyone else think Smoke might have the "hots" for her....just saying;)
 
I will probably order it this year, it's not like you have to pay right up front, but it is extra on the cable bill at the end of the month. I want to see it this year though.

And if she does fail miserably, she won't fail any worse than Tony Kanaan and Travis Pastrami both did on their first attempts. But, since she is Danica, the haters are already out in full force.
 
Mopar, you won't be able to get this race streaming live. Last year there was an attempt but after a few short laps, the site was shut down.

Very true.. BTW I am glad she is participating she will ultimately help the charity with the attention she brings. The driving experience is also positive.
