Dear Jeff Gordon Fans

Well, my favorite driver is Jeff, followed closely by McMurray who will also have only a few more years in him once Jeff retires. I like Trevor Bayne, so once Jeff and McMurray are done, I'll likely be a Bayne fan. The only problem with that is that I'm not too sure what Trevors future holds for him.

Or someone new could come along. Maybe Kyle Larson or Chase Elliott will emerge as a favorite.
 
Jeff may not be in his prime, but he's still competitive! He's getting wins here and there, and is getting good finishes most races as long as something doesn't go wrong.

I don't want him racing when he isn't competitive anymore like Labonte is or Petty did, but he isn't near that point yet, so I don't see a reason to start looking for a new driver. I'm still dedicated to Jeff!

Heard it before from Rusty fans , Petty fans , LaBonte fans , DW fans , Schrader fans , Ricky Rudd fans , DJ fans,Jeff Burton fans, etc. You'll still be backing Jeff because you're a fan . It's what fans do . There are Morgan Shepard fans who are offended by the lack of respect he gets from new fans . That's racin.:(

Overlook the 30-something place finishes where something has gone wrong for Jeff out of his control, and his stats aren't too bad, though I'll admit they're not great. He would've been in contention for the win at Bristol and Texas had he been around at the end of those.
