'Dega race thread

You said what tkj?

Man i love this..that is what i'm talking about...but

I dont know why did Nascar waited so long to let the green flag..i questioned that.

But the wreck was legit...Congrats Jeff Gordon..

YES YES YES

I hope the officials catch the ignorant fans throwing stuff on the track after Jeff not only won, from the pole, and set a new record with 77 wins (desite how it ended).

Heard what Jeff said tkj? about the bottle throwing?

He said "man that guy has a long arm, that one made it to the pit road" Hhahahaaa

Gilliland caused the wreck & gets to keep a 7th place finish ?? That's interesting. I DO think races can & should finish under caution but the G/W/C is the worst thing ever. All it's gonna do is cause another wreck that could possibly hurt or kill someone. I thought Nascar was all about safety....apparently not all the time.

I disagee, a race should not end under yellow. Its not racing if that happands.

I wonder if Tony will get in any more trouble for what he said about Gilliand?

I wouldn't want to get hit with that huge roll of commercial TP they showed :)

Those things are hard and heavy.

I'm pissed, and may never watch a NEXTEL Cup race again. They WAITED a half a lap to throw the caution for Reutimann. I'm not going to dispute that they had to throw the caution, but they WAITED, deliberately, until Gordon got the lead, and then threw the yellow once he passed a scoring loop as the leader. Heck of a way to ruin a good race, fix the finish so their precious Gordon could break a record at 'Dega and give him the win. Eff NASCAR.

Now to IndyCar racing.

Shshhh i missed the inteviews..i was mighty excited and missed everything..i will catch Victory Lane on SPEED though.

They wanted to see if he could get off the track with out leaving any oil on the track. You can smoke like a train and leave no oil.

Pardon me, but I am pissed off. NASCAR didn't fix the race, but they sure did all they could to ensure Gordon won that race.

Why put the yellow out if it is not needed? If he got off the track with out putting any oil down, then the yellow was put out for no reasion, so they waited to see if there was ol or no oil.

Well Andy if you quit watching come on over to chit-chat. We don't talk so much racing there. Or, even the Podium. It's never about racing.
Besides with your ideas...

Ok let me run it down...

Jeff qualified on pole, led the most laps, had the dominicant car, was 25th with little less the 10 laps to go drafted his way to the front then consecuently to the lead. How is that race fixed? If so the Nascar didn't need to fix anything since he had the car to beat all race long.

I am so sick of people that negate Jeff Gordon's hard work. Piss off

They needed to throw that caution. My problem is they're gonna wait almost a lap and jeporadize the drivers' safety in doing so. But it all played out how they wanted it to so...

Maybe NASCAR gave him Lil'E's plate rather than the one like the rest got.
Oh, wait Lil'E hasn't won a plate race in 12? races...

Take issue with NASCAR. If they weren't doing these things, people wouldn't question the legitimacy of these wins. If they ran a fair race, it's hard to tell who would've won. Might've been Gordon, who knows. But they didn't.

And I'm not taking it out on Gordon, I'm taking it out on NASCAR. They ran a bull**** race. :idunno:

No they ran a race by the rules in place. You just don't agree with those rules and it really chaps your a$$ that Jeff won. I have very little doubt that if someone not of Hendricks banner had won you would be just fine with the finish.
Me, I don't like the G/W/C just because it is dangerous. But, NASCAR, in an effort to please these very 'Dega fans, instituted that rule. Then when Jeff still wins people still can't accept it. Well don't worry I don't think he'll race much beyond 85 wins anyway. So your world without Jeff will be coming in a very short number of years.

No need quoting Reck trying to p*** him off. He can't read nothing you write. He has ignored you.LOL

Gotta give a hats-off to some guys that ran good today...McMurray, Gilliland and Stremme. These guys drove a smart race, stayed out of trouble and had a little luck, too.
What happened to that bumblin' Columbian? :)

Give me a break!!!!!! Mears didn't signal he was gonna pit and Tony Raines nudged him up the race track. Explain to me HOW it is ALL Jimmie's fault????? I will ALWAYS call my driver out when they make a boneheaded move, but there was nothing in those two incidents that he can be blamed 100% for.

Becouse Jimmie sucks...

Ryan Newman took a cheap shot. And I hope Montroya remembers that next week. Newmaqn did the same (s) at Miami last year.
