Denny Hamlin.......

No ofense taken my friend. :)

With that said when I said "weakling" I mean more in general. Here is a guy that is always complaining about how things never go his way, cries like a baby when he loses and puts blame on others when things simply dont go his way.

He's mentally weak as well as physically. Just look at the dude's history. Almost fainted after the texas race in 2008, throws a fit in 2010 when when he had that pit miscue at Phoenix that affected his championship coming into Homestead. (spun) Then last year he gets into it with Logano of all people and ends up done for the year for a "war" he started himself.

Ya'll want to throw this a guy pity party, go ahead but dont act like he's all innocent and beautiful.

Also I want to make it clear I didn't laugh at his current situation. Just at the tweeting part which I found ironic that he would take to such thing in his condiction.

But hey that's just me.

Ah, okay I understand what you are saying and I agree.

As I said in the Cali race thread, I was disappointed to learn that Hamglaze wasn't racing yesterday. Glad to hear that he's feeling better. He'd better be in that 11 car at Martinsville on Sunday so I can boo him every time he pops up on my screen.

(Seriously, I'm starting to believe that I'm really a closet Hamlinator, the mere thought of which both scares and repulses me.)

Glad to see there are others who felt like I did on Sunday. Even though I am a young guy, I am from the old school of racing. I don't care if you have bones broke all throughout your body, if you are able to race, then you race. You knew the consequences before you got into this profession. A expletive sinus infection? I lost all respect for the guy.

Maybe they should have stuck him out there unable to see (for the sake of bring "old school), and hell, while they were at it, they coulda took his radio away like at Daytona, and he could've been in full Helen Keller mode out on the track

Drivers dont need to be able to see when driving 200 mph

You really want a guy who can't see driving at 200 MPH?

You DO NOT want to undergo a MRI with any metal in your eyes. Each time I've always been asked if I was ever around any metal grinding or other metal forming operations. Always answered yes and always went and got a series of X-rays taken.

It's not that outlandish if he spends time in the race shop.

What's outlandish is all the symptoms of a gnarly sinus infection that's actual a piece of metal in his eye. That seems so unpleasant!

Denny Hamlin will be back behind the wheel of his No. 11 car this weekend at Martinsville Speedway, after NASCAR received official confirmation from his doctors that he has been medically cleared to resume regular racing activities.

Joe Gibbs Racing made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, three days after Hamlin missed the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Auto Club Speedway due to what the team originally termed a vision problem stemming from a sinus infection. According to JGR, it was actually a piece of metal that doctors removed from Hamlin's eye that proved to be the source of his vision issues.

FULL SERIES COVERAGE

While in Southern California, Hamlin was sent to a local hospital for tests, and upon returning home he met with doctors both Monday and Wednesday. It was following Wednesday's follow-up examination that doctors provided the necessary approval for Hamlin to resume all racing activity without restriction. NASCAR has received official confirmation from his doctors clearing him to resume racing this weekend.

Hopefully Dale Junior is satisfied with this new information

Maybe I should defend my previous comment since so many bashed me. I have chronic sinusitis and get sinus infections regularly. I am also a racecar driver, I have never had a sinus infection to the effect that it would make me sit out of a race. My vision gets foggy. If the claims that Hamlin could not follow a finger are correct, then obviously you cannot drive a race car at those speeds with vision impairment. Obviously now we know that it was a piece of metal in his eye, I just never could justify the sinus issue since I have them regularly.

True. I'm going to stop worrying about Kyle winning a cup championship. I been losing sleep!

Thats good, just concentrate on all the other great things he has done in his racing career. If you still have trouble sleeping just count all the nationwide races he has won, you should be snoozing by 50 or so

we don't need anymore of those drivers. we have plenty for now.:D

Good idea. Those minor league wins have had everyone snoozing for years now.

I think the NY Mets should start playing Columbus and achieve greatness like Kyle.
