did you catch that?

Truth be told, I have no idea who said it, or even if it was said.

Hatter is usually very reliable so I'll go with his info that Jr said it.

The question is left as to when and for what reason.

It may very well have been when Jr was playing with the pace car, something Sr loved to do. It may have been after some other move, I have no idea.

Truth be told, I likely will not remember the statement at all in the future. Just folks having fun.

since I've been reading this board, you have seemed to dedicate your life to degrading and berating anything Earnhardt or DEI...so does that mean you need therapy too?...because you sure spend alot of time on it.....and before you go there, I don't think Dale was a saint. so don't try to play this off as that....you like to point the finger at the diehard Earnhardt fans and say they need therapy, but your just as bad....
Naw, it's just that I get so many chances to do so. Y'all make it so easy. If you read, you'll notice that at one point in time I was among the ranks myself. I just enjoy watching all the faithful bristle whenever some infidel suggests that he was quite possibly not the one who hung the moon. As to my need for therapy, that has long been debated by people far and wide. The jury is still out, but as soon as I know what they decide I'll be sure and pass the info along.

I believe hi exact quote was "who did that remind you of" after jr. made a pass going three wide. It is possible that Kurt made another statement too.

I noticed this great, although provocative ,post last night.

I posted a rather mild reply and checked it again before work this morning....still kind of sedate at that point.

Go to work for ten hours and come check the forum...and what have we got?

Pure dang anarchy! This thing has run wild and I for one love it!!!!!!!

Come on folks. These kind of post keep the place lively!

Paul with his cutting remarks...TWF with his pointed observations....even Hardscrabble weighed in on this one!

Man,I love this place and all of you lunatics!Still laughing my a** off!

To all the Earnhardt,Gordon,Stewart,Busch,etc,fans.....

This Sharpie/Rubbermaid/Budweiser/Goodwrench/Dupont/Viagra/Home depot/salute is for YOU!

It was Jr that said it. When he was driving up through the middle and passed a few cars, he said it reminded him of the black #3. Only thing Jr does that reminds me of the #3 is run his mouth. Now off the track, Sr seemed like a great guy. When it came to game time, he played by the rule "if I can't win, then I'll wreck him". When I heard Sr say after the Daytona 500 a few years ago "Bill France Sr would rollover in his grave if he saw this kinda racing" because the Fords dominated, I lost every ounce of respect for him. Now it's all honky dorey cause the Chevy's are dominating. If Nascar didn't cater to him for so long, he probably woulda spent most of his carreer in the Busch series. Of course this is just my opinion but, I'll have to warn you folks, I've never ever been wrong.

It was jr, he said something like didn't I look like the black #3 back there, the anouncers said he said that though they never played the audio of him actually saying it.

My first post, so I will make it a useful one.

I was at the Vegas race and just happened to be listening to Junior's channel when he made the #3 comment. He asked over the radio if they all enjoyed the pass he made in turn 2. Then he said, "I bet you all expected a f*cking black #3 to come out from around there. Man, I've seen him do that a hundred f*cking times." (Yes, he did curse, he curses often over the radio.) I felt fortunate to be listening to Junior's channel to hear that. I interpreted it as Junior having fully made peace with Dale Sr's death enough to acknowledge something he learned on the track from his great dad, for whom he obviously has a lot of respect.

Ha! I am very touched by the father/son interaction I've seen between Sr/Jr! C'mon now, it's those maternal instincts in me talkin'.

Paul---is that any way to talk to a newbie?!! Jackpot take no notice of that man in the corner--we try to keep him under medication, sometimes he doesn't swallow the pill! The DEI shock therpy doesn't seem to be working. Gonna have to come up with something stronger--any ideas from you DEI fans out there?

On the Kurt thing--I too think the comparision should be with DW. I love it when they interview Kurt--you can always count on something good coming from his mouth. I think it will be a long time before we here someone call Kurt as never was! The Jr. thing has already been beat like a dead horse around here, so since the horses is dead I won't get on it tonight. I can't with till Sunday so I can see DJ win again and maybe Jr. or Kurt will finish a close second. :D

Hi sgbg88 ...

Tony has been consistently hanging around the top 10 and Tony likes Atlanta. :stickdance:

I wouldn't mind Tony winning Sunday--He is one of my fav behind DJ. I hope we have good weather and some good racing :)

Lesson #1 for Jackpot: Mention anything Earnhardt related and paul will post some negative response. Be prepared. But, its all in fun so we think. ;)

Welcome to the forums!

Hey I was never a big Dale fan. I just think him and busch can't be compared they are too different. I think Dale was a good driver and a very experienced driver. Busch is also a good driver but still in the begining of his career, how can they be compared?
Both are good, but no better than the car they are in.
