Does Tony Stewart Even Care Anymore?

2012 was quite the opposite, however. He got off to a great start, then pretty much disappeared in the Chase. Except for the win at Dover, he wasn't exactly lighting it up in 2013 either before the injury. Guess we'll never know if he would have went on another '11 like run last year had he not gotten hurt.
Dale Earnhardt went through an unexpected fall off only to win 2 more titles before his passing. He could hardly win a race, let alone a championship. It all goes to show when a driver has his year, he has his year.

I'm not sure what has happened to Tony --- maybe too many hats. He's more concentrated on getting everything to mesh than
his own team. Haas threw him a curve when he added Kurt and team. Getting all that to work together in such a short amount
of time has got to work against him.

What does Tony actually do that is different from what he has always done--drive? Accounting? No. Money Dude? No. Contractor? No. I mean, really, what is different now that he is an owner with this set up? Clearly, Gene will do whatever in the hell he wants because he is the money behind the deal. They don't even need freakin' sponsors. What does Tony do?

I still like Tony for the most part, even though he was so repulsed by driving a Toyota that he had to go form his own team.

As for "what's wrong", I think it's a combination of things: the leg, age (he'll be 43 on Tuesday), not being in very good shape, and running multiple teams. I think Tony still has some wins in him, but I think his championship days are over.

Yeah, but I respect Tony for being repulsed oddly enough. Brand loyalty. I can respect that even when it doesn't go my way. What's wrong? Could be something to do with the new set ups. This might be why you see such inconsistency in the SHR line up.
