Montreal A Done Deal For Busch Race?
NASCAR executives still haven't made it official, but sources insist that a deal has been made for Daytona's Busch series to debut in Montreal next summer, at the Formula 1 Gilles Villeneuve course.

The race date would likely be Sunday July 29th, which would be an off-weekend for the Cup series if the Loudon, N.H., Cup race is moved to Sunday July 1, the week before the Pepsi 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

By scheduling Montreal on an off Cup weekend, Cup stars would be free to run in the race, and NASCAR officials are expected to make strong efforts to get a number of Cup stars, including Jeff Gordon, to run in Montreal.

The NASCAR-in-Montreal contract could be a five-year deal, or longer.

The city just renewed its lease with veteran promoter Norman Legault for another five years, for a reported $350,000 a year.(Journal Now)

I watched F1 practice and Qualifying at that track last week, it's actually a nice track. They fit alot of people in there.
