“When you’re going that fast and all you have is brakes to stop … I guess the wind must have gotten under my hand,” Horne speculated. “It blew my hand off the bars … try going 220 miles per hour on a bike with one hand. That blew me right off of the bike.”

glad doug is ok (relatively). i like watching the bikes but i'm certain they are also certifiably insane. crashing at those speeds, which happen a lot, with what i consider minmal protection is not for someone that cares about his health. <g>
