Way too much irony in Bill's victory yesterday. Matt's first WC start came in Bill's #94 in 1998 when Bill's father passed & of course Bill won the race when Alan Kulwicki (other WI native that won a Cup title) clinched the 1992 Championship.
OK,I'm late on replying to this thread, missed voting before last race,so congrats to Bill Elliott, was good to see the #9 team in victory lane again,I thought the Championship celebration overshadowed Bill & company's win celebration, but I guess it's to be expected, nonetheless, congrats also to the final Winston Cup Champion Matt Keneth & the #17 team in 2003,WTG!
I voted for Rusty Wallace, what is it?Like 97 race winless streak now? This has got to stop IMO.Go get 'em Rusty at the quasi new Homestead track, that variable degree banking should make for interesting racing, can't wait to see it,should be a vast improvement over the old 6 degree banking in the turns there,JMO
