Heard a similar one, from an elderly friend. Her computer was running slowly on tasks that required a lot of memory, such as video streaming. I advised her that she should get a new computer that could handle today's data loads more easily (hers was several generations old, and was a stripped-down model to begin with).

A couple days later, she told me she solved her problem. "I downloaded more space on the Internet!"
