Just had to comment on Darrel Waltrip and his show of favoritism toward Truex in the Kansas race.Just because his little brother owns the car that Truex was driving,he roots for him and shows disapointment when Denny passes for the lead.Never once saying a positive thing about Denny(by the way--good job Denny!)he just goes on about how Truex will catch up and pass for the win. Don't know how a national tv station can tolerate bias commentary! While I'm at it --whats up with tis Boogety Boogety Boogety......grow up man!

Did someone make a new profile?

I had DWI muted, so I can't comment on what he said, but boogity is the first sign of dementia.

The Fender Bumper seems to think that he knows ya Bee , but I don't . Welcome to the forum , and point well taken. Don't think you will find any disagreement here about that type of broadcasting .DW and the Digger are not real popular .

Hows it much different then Jarret cheering for DJ to win the 500 back in the 90's? These guys are fans too. His brothers team that has struggled for so long and is now running up top alot of weeks he wants to see em break through. If you have time to sit around and worry about DW rooting for someone you got to much time on your hands anyway.

If it is a special race like the 500 I see no problem with it. I had no problem with DW cheering for MW to win the 500 in 2001. That race is a million times more special than the Kansas one. Also Ned didn't cheer for Dale on all the other races, just to win the 500.

lot different. Ned was rooting on his son in what was a very genuine moment, unlike DW, who is, at all times, all about himself and nothing else. Ned rooting on his son was actually one of the magic moments in sports, and continues to be a special moment to this day. Ned is a gentleman, and one of the best broadcasters in racing. DW is, well, DW. Mouthy, loud, obnoxious and pretty much opposite in every way of Ned.

What about steve "the wreck just looking for a spot to happen" wallace and the booth falling all over themselves heaping praise?

If you own a car, drive a car, or have family members participating you shouldn't be calling the race.

Unless you sign an oath to be neutral and are willing to submit to being scrutinized and held accountable.

But it's a slippery slope, my favorite race voice ever Barney Hall, was a real good friend of David Pearson, I think they often traveled together.

Hey who your feeling is a little more than we want to know.

Let's play a game. If you had a chance to sit with a woman for 10 hours, talking, but no touching, who would you pick and why?
And yes FB and MIKE, you have to keep it in your pants. Even if they aren't looking, and even if they are asleep.

With those rules, any deceased woman will do.

Betty White cause I think she's pretty funny.Plus no chance at wood.

Hey--thanks for the welcome Ted.Yeah this was my first post .I don't make a habbit of bashing people but that DW just rubs me the wrong way!

Yes, welcome!

And I must apologize for Friendlier Blumber's earlier case of mistaken identity. The fact that he thought that you were me in disguise should cause you to be irate! Cause NOBODY wants to be associated with me!!

Which is why I thought you might have gone incognito. ;)

For as long as they've been broadcasting NASCAR, one or more of these announcers/pit reporters have had some sort of affiliation to a driver/team/owner/whatever. We want people to be in the booth that know what they're talking about but we don't want them associated with anything NASCAR related. I don't get how that is ever going to work.

For the record , I never liked Rusty Wallace in the booth for the same reason. Ned Jarrett , I loved.
