Early Final 4 Predictions

Serious post.

Elliott
Larson
Logano
Harvick

I want to say Larson. The speed has been there all year, and you will see that these next 5 weeks. Heart says Larson.

But my gut, my brain, the gods...you name it...are all SCREAMING that it's Joey Logano this year.

Joey Logano wins it.

Elliott, Larson, and Logano are locks.

I want Harvick, but it's not going to be him. The Roval will be his doom yet again.

Bell will be the 4th, and I'm thinking Bell will be the one to win the championship.

I like Bell but Elliott not winning this year would do me in. Although it would be ****** hilarious if Harvick won it this year.

Larson, Logano and Ross have all been top 3 in points. Its not inconceivable Eliott's 100pt lead is insurmountable. He hasn't had a stroke of bad luck and we saw Hamlin's 100 point lead evaporate in similar time last year.

As much as Elliott fans hate him, Alan Gustafson is the right guy. Elliott doesn’t make any mistakes and Gustafson has made some really good calls this year.

Elliot, Logano, Chastain and Larson, no particular order. Hopefully nobody can catch Ross to wreck him in the races he wins or ranks high enough to make the final 4…would be hideous if that weasel Hambone pulled that, but it’s possible.

I think Ross has laid low after some of those incident, but he still has a fast car and will be a factor, even if he doesn’t make the final 4.

All I'm saying is that in addition to good execution there's been loads of luck this year.

The "total season points" gap could stay at 100 after Phoenix, or he could have a bad race or two, and suddenly the gap is gone.

It's too early to say he's the only deserving champion..that's what everyone said of Kyle Busch in 2008.

Chase Elliott
Kyle Larson
Tyler Reddick
Kevin Harvick

Chase has been the most consistent driver this year. Larson is the defending champ & has been pretty solid. Reddick has shown tons of improvement. Harvick has a lot of momentum heading into the playoffs.

Did you forget how much Luck Larson had last year? Of course that doesn't get mentioned. It didn't suddenly run out when the playoffs started. The whole "Preparation meets opportunity" phrase absolutely applied to that group last year.

Chase did have his lead go from around 60+ down to about 9 at one point this year after a bad stretch of luck/mistakes/whatever, and then he took off.

But Andy said Elliott doesn’t make mistakes. 😇

What does this have to do with Larson's luck last year? Yes, his luck did not run out last year. But going into the playoffs, Larson, Elliott and Hamlin all would have been *deserving* champions last year. Larson wasn't the only deserving champion last year until the wins/top 10s continued deep into the playoffs.

I'm not saying Chase doesn't deserve the points lead/regular season championship. I'm not saying Chase's luck is a knock/excuse. I'm saying it's too early to predict which way luck swings within the context of total points scored this season considering how agressively things tend to swing. It's too early to say there's only one deserving champion this year.

Can you not make this yet another thing about knocking Elliott/promoting Larson please?

My post was doing neither.

Elliott
Larson
Harvick
Blaney

Elliott wins
I call *foul* on this post because you've named a DRIVERS final four including Blaney, but have not named an OWNERS final four. So it is incomplete. << LOL >>

My prediction:
Drivers: Larson, Elliott, Logano, Blaney
Owners: #5, #9, #22, #1
Champions: Blaney, #1

Chastain
Blaney
Larson
Elliott

in no particular order
elliott has a decent point lead and is good everywhere
chastain I think his biggest problem will be hamlin
Larson hope he can make it past the round of 12 (not his best tracks)
Blaney been consistent and deserves to be there
should be a exciting run to the championship I can’t say anyone is in for sure

Chase Elliott
Kyle Larson
Tyler Reddick
Kevin Harvick

Reddick wins.

Elliot
Larson
Hamlin
Logano

That was going to be my pick
I really want to put Blaney in there in place of Hamlin, but Hamlin just has the experience that Blaney is still developing.
I think Blaney gets a win in the playoffs but not one that advances him to the final four. He and his team are really struggling to put together complete races this year.

I chose that because it’s the least desirable final 4 in my book and that’s generally how these things go
