Just saw this. It sucks. Definitely had a fun but stressful life. Kinda curious for CoD; Never heard about him being sick or anything.

I exchanged letters with Eddie every year after the races. The first year was disastrous with all the rain and the lack of coordination among different entities. I think that letter was 5 pages long. LOL
He answered my letter and said that many things I pointed out would be in the works for improvement.
I felt privileged to have corresponded with him for 10 years. We had a great time exchanging letters.
