Edwards to Joe Gibbs Racing, Suarez?

I guess I am the only one that thinks Roush will be doing better without him, and glad he is a Gibber...off to create more chaos and confusion into a dysfunctional organization that takes "team" to mean every man for himself. I think Biff will be a quiet knowledgeable leader that can bring the two younger guys together to solve some of the problems they are having.

Biffle is the top dog at Roush now. Enough said. I like Bayne, but I don't think he'll ever contend for a title. Stenhouse is a poor man's Ted Musgrave and it's only a matter of time before Jack gives him the boot.

IMO Roush doesn't currently have a driver that can compete for a championship, and they can't seem to hold on to any of their drivers or sponsors. That, combined with their lackluster performance across the board, is worrisome.

I can say the same thing about JGR, title less and only one driver has even won a championship, with another team though, and all of them have had many tries. Roush has a young promising hopeful in the wings Chris Buescher, who if he had ran the first race and finished in the top ten would be right there up at the top and all the media would be swarming him like bees on honey. Roush has youth at the cup level that could go either way. What does Gibbs have for the future? Sadler, Hornish, and new guy Suarez-Garza.

JGR has won multiple Cup titles and they have fared a lot better than Roush the past couple years. Their driver lineup for 2015 and beyond is as good as anyone (and far superior to the current crop at Roush).

In the past three years, two championship caliber drivers left Roush for Gibbs. I think that speaks volumes.

far superior...wah wha, haven't won a thing since they switched to toyota, and they are going backwards this year. But go ahead and shovel dirt on the Roush bunch, lot of dog piling going on. I'm betting on the come myself, I think Roush will be a better team without him. glad he is at Gibbs, may he continue his win less championship caliber career along with the other two and the X Ford driver who won his driving a Ferd. Got 3 Fords in the top ten with 7 wins between them compared to 2 win less Toyotas. Great year for the ABT brotherhood.

Nobody is saying Ford is in the crapper, just the Roush bunch. If you really think they're better off without Carl that's fair enough, but he's done more than Stenhouse and Bayne ever have, and likely ever will.

Roush can be benchmarked against the Penske guys to show how poorly they've performed. It's a night and day difference, and you know it. Also if you take a look at what's been going in with them for a number of years it's clear as to what's happening. They can't keep drivers because they can't keep sponsorship. JGR on the other hand has great sponsorship stability and a premier crop of drivers to compliment it. The reason they've done so poorly, is arguably something out of there control. TRD has to pick up their jockstrap and tune up those engines, once that happens you'll be seeing them in victory lane quite frequently IMO. On the other hand, Roush has their own engines which seem to be working great for the Penske bunch, yet they can't seem to compete for wins anywhere. Even Carl's 2 wins this year, were more to do with strategy circumstances and cautions, he didn't have a dominant car in either race.

Well keep on screwing the pooch. Edwards in the last three years 15, 13, and 9th this year. Biff 5, 9, and 11th. Roush isn't going to miss him IMO. Bayne is pretty new, but it won't take much to equal Edwards numbers.

Sorry, but I don't see Bayne coming anywhere near the numbers Edwards has put up at RFR. Even 15th in points would be a stretch for him next year.

I wouldn't say JGR "hasn't won a thing" since switching to Toyota. No championships yet, but JGR has 56 Sprint Cup wins since switching to Toyota in 2008. That's only 5 fewer than Hendrick Motorsports has in the same timespan, and they did it with one less team.

Since there seems to be this debate over Edwards vs. Biffle..... How do they stack up? Looks like Edwards is looking in his mirror @ The Biff.

I think Roush might do better without Edwards because now they can take his huge paycheck and invest the money to improve their cars instead.

no debate, the last three years Biffle's record is better than Edwards. drag up all kinds of what the who's doesn't matter, the record books count on how many championships you win. Gibbs has none since switching to Toyota and neither does any driver that is on the team in a Toyota any Toyota on any team for that matter. I happen to think that Edwards isn't going to be their savior, and that Roush is going to rebuild. All this grave digging by the dog pilers is premature IMO. Now that being said, at the risk of Sliced Bread, Revman, and the freak, I've said my piece, and can't wait to see ol carl telling us all just how blindingly fast his Toyota is. Carry on exploda lovers. Glad you got him.

Ahh, okay, it all makes sense now. For a second there, I thought you were actually trying to construct a legitimate, unbiased argument that Roush is better than or on the same level as JGR. Don't scare me like that. ;)

I have nothing against Roush at all, but as of this moment, any combination of three of JGR's drivers > Biffle, Stenhouse, and Bayne. 'Nuff said.

both jgr and roush better find something new by '15 ,,,,,,
..........or won't matter which team carl drives for .......

i see type a big ego clash between kyle / carl by summer '15. :dual9mm:

JG get's his sixth championship in 2015. :beerbang:

Simply put, if RFR moves forward over the off-season with those three... I will rollover with complete and utter enjoyment. I mean crying with Biffle leading the ship. Too many egos at JGR, but Carl like Matt are great glue guys. Not to stir up the pot too much.

RFR is not a ship that has sunk. IMO this is that step is needed to move forward to risk with Biffle, Bayne, and Stenhouse.

Bayne cannot be as invisible as a David Regan was though.

I think RFR's lineup will be more formidable in two or three years with Biffle, Bayne, and Buescher.

I agree there seems to be a cycle where chevy , then ford , then toyota seem to get a small competitve advantage . But when your turn comes , you have to have all the right drivers in place to take advantage . I think that Hedndrick , Gibbs and Penske are there.

Nice post man. Spot freakin' on. Love it when posters just nail it. You did. Well done.

True, Toyota hasn't won any championships since coming to Cup in '07, but Ford hasn't won any since then either. So if you're basing everything on championships, not sure how this is a downgrade for Carl.

....and your understanding of the JGR team culture is based on what? I mean, I don't mind when posters hate on teams, drivers, or manufacturers; but when we just talk crap, it just gets silly. Give me some examples of selfishness within the organization. When JGR came to Toyota, they shared nothing with MWR. Now, they do--with TRD's help. I'm missing your point man. Help me out.

Dude, what does Gibbs have for the future? Google it. Holy crap.

I'm sure the rest of them are really pumped up about Carl coming on board. A real game changer.o_O

What's funny about your posts is that I don't know who the hell you like. Honestly, I would have to dig to figure it out, but I'd rather watch paint dry. Who the hell do you like?.....or should I ask tomorrow when the Jack Daniels wears off?

sure hope jgr....roush.....even mwr......find something for more speed.

gonna be boring hms / penske chase if not.

You'll never really know. He just says the opposite of whomever he's talking to.
On the other hand, he also has some good and informative posts when not advocating for the devil.

I'm good with all of that man, but the rants not rooted in fact taint the overall quality of his posts. He knows his ****--big respect there, but when you start babbling about the workings of the inner sanctums of teams just because you don't like a particular team/driver/manufacturer, it becomes blatantly biased--exactly the opposite of what you are suggesting IMO. Cheer for who you want. Flame who you hate--if that turns your crank. Just don't make stuff up. What the hell....Jack all around! :D

rev....what ya don't realize is.........when you point out what you think are standonit's errors.......i ....and other readers......enjoy tha retort ya give him.
then we enjoy tha back-n- forth between you 2. don't end that for us ! we learn a lot in process.
plus .....ain't you got a little inside toyo knowledge advantage ta begin with ! :D

my posts were in response to post after post of Roush bashing. You know how it is, it starts and before it is over Roush is out of business and they are throwing dirt on top of them..don't think so. I have stated time after time that I am not a one horse pony fan, I follow almost all motorsports, I have all my life. Problem I have with some, not all one horse pony's is that their opinions are so biased in one direction, they are blinded to other opinions that can be just as or more valid. They make up some of the most outlandish stuff up in their fantasy world, that sometimes it is time to attempt to pop their bubble, and look at the whole picture. Therin lies the rub sometimes.
