I finally got back home late Friday and spent all day yesterday unpacking, repacking, cleaning up, 0pening and settling back into the house etc etc.
21 days and 4300 miles pulling an RV through bad weather, mountains, narrow roads, construction zones and a few close calls was worth every minute.
One very good race weekend at Loudon and 4 killer days at Eldora interspersed with some of the best times you could ask for at some great spots on the east side of our country. We met some great people everywhere we went and needless to say the DP family and their friend Nick are all good folks.
It will probably take me at least two or three more days to recuperate but damn was it ever worth it. DP has already pretty much said it all about the track, the race and experience as a whole but the one correction I would like to make is my Eldora cooler bag by my hat was not empty when I ran out from under it to make a rescue beer run, there was one left , the only time it was empty was going in and out of the gate. My wife and I intend on returning next year.
