That F1 Academy schedule is awful.
Greg Maffei did not like Michael Andretti. Whatever, if it happens I’ll be happy all the same. Will still piss off much of the current grid but that’s a good thing.I just want a FP1 stint with Kyle Larson

Having Michael lead the effort in such a brash and abrasive manner as he did wasn’t going to work out and Greg Maffei, among others, made that known to all involved. GM wanted to move forward with the effort, Dan Towriss and Mark Walter wanted to go forward with it, and there’s already a backbone with the shop they’ve built and staff they’ve assembled in Silverstone. Buying Michael out of Andretti Global and working more discreetly was the best way to get it across the finish line. Remember that at one point F1 even asked GM if they would be willing to partner with a different team.Sure would like to know what changed when Michael Andretti was dropped from the name of the team.
Zak seems like the Hendrick of F1 - Completely approachable, doesn't hide behind other people, tells it like it is.This might be old news but it's the first time I've heard it. In 1984 Zak Brown was a teenager on Wheel of Fortune who won $3,050. He used it all to buy a go-kart.

I think they're listed by race name, "Grand Prix of ...". Notice most of the names are countries, not cities or tracks. COTA was on the schedule first, so it was 'USA'. The others were added later so city names had to be used.I am bewildered that Miami and Las Vegas are listed by city, but October only says "USA" instead of "Austin".....
That's true but sometimes it's also the city governments that pay to advertise their city in the name of the race.I think they're listed by race name, "Grand Prix of ...".
