We are now halfway to the Chase! Time is ticking to lock yourself in for a chance at the championship beginning in September. This is a perfect opportunity for me to remind all of you that I strongly encourage you to keep on playing with us whether you make it in the Chase or not.

When the Chase begins, if a Chaser wins a race, they lock themselves into the next round. But if a non-Chaser wins, then the Chasers just lost a chance to lock themselves forward. Whether you're in the Chase or not, your participation in this league does matter and can play a role in how the Chase is decided.

Even now, you matter no matter if you're the point leader or 50th in points. Take Millennium (#40) for example. He just had a wonderful performance at Charlotte thanks to Truex's dominant performance. He has a very long road ahead of him if he wants to get to the Top-30 in points. It's still possible, but it will be a lot harder to do so than Mik Maqracer83 (#29) who also is below 30th in points with a win to his name.

By them having wins outside of Top-30 in points, that shakes up who can be in or out of the playoffs come Chicago. Every year between now and the Chase, all fantasy leagues seem to experience a fallout. But I ask each and every one of you to erase this trend. For your participation matters no matter where you are in the championship standings. I thank you all for your continuous support of the fantasy league. None of this would be possible without all of you. So let's keep on rolling through to the Chase and the rest of the year.

Question of the week: As we go to the "Tricky Triangle", what's the trickiest part of playing Fantasy NASCAR?

02Justin10 (#02) has served his suspension and will be reinstated for this week. Braindead Zombie (#88) continues his suspension this week and will be reinstated for Michigan.

BK#23#83 is in danger of being declared inactive in Cup and losing Chase eligibility.

Due to the dominance of Martin Truex Jr., only a few competitors were given a real shot at the win. Millennium (#40) showed the way early from the pole. @Get That 88 Up There !! (#99) took over at about halfway, just to give it back to Millennium. But as the laps ticked down on the long night, Nascarnana (#60) was up front once again. Looking for a 2nd straight points win, Nascarnana finished with the highest score, but Millennium did as well. Millennium won the tiebreaker and the race! The strong performance from Nascarnana did pole vault her into the Top-30 in points and into our Chase Grid from her win at Dover. Mik Maqracer83 (#29) fell out of the Chase Grid after dropping below 30th in points. Millennium is still new to the game and has a long way to go to break the Top-30. Something to keep an eye on halfway to the Chase. 24over48 (#24) is the first to win any specific award in all 3 series, unfortunately it is the Tough Luck Award that he has been credited with once again. Reviewing the rules of a rain delay. As always, the deadline to post or change predictions is the green flag of the race. If it is postponed to another day, the deadline is still the green flag. However, if it starts and has to be postponed and finished on another day, predictions cannot be made or changed during that time as the 2nd day would be considered a restart.
 
Race pushed back to Monday at Noon Eastern time. There is still time to get predictions in!
 
Let's get some conversation going here while we wait for the race tomorrow. What have you liked about the fantasy season so far? What changes would you like to see? How can we improve?

I would very much like to focus on the points system, the awards, and how I set up the weekly blogs. So if you have any ideas along those lines, that would be greatly appreciated. But the door is wide open for any other ideas as well!
