It's really hard to pick a favorite band, but I've liked Santana ever since I hit Okinawa back in '69 and they're still going strong.  Of course, I loved Jimi Hendrix, but since he hasn't done anything in a long time, you just have to settle for his old stuff.

 Speaking of which, and you say you like jazz, did you see the movie about Sandoval made by HBO entitled For Love or Country?  Great movie staring Andy Garcia with Gloria Estefan.  The song Arturo wrote when he first saw his future wife is magnificent.  That man can sure blow a mean horn.  For me, he has surpassed Maynard Ferguson who has always been my favorite horn man.
