FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks Race thread

JPM was pretty honest in his post race interview (to paraphrase): "He was WAY faster than me...I don't know where he came from, he hadn't been up front".

Ole sandbaggin Tony :D

If JPM would have had a car, it wouldn't have been pretty, he was way off, otherwise Tony would have had his hands full

Yeah...one thing is pretty much for sure...if JJ hadn't "brain farted" that restart Tony would have been inteviewed earlier.

But hey - you mess up - you pay the price (sometimes, even in nascar).

Well, the Sprint Cup races have been awesome this year. Can't wait until the series resumes in July at Indianapolis.

I look at the big picture, didn't hurt Johnson on points really, and two teams and the 24 got a shot in the arm. JPM outsmarted JJ period in my opinion, me and the announcers too, I thought he spun his tires instead of whatever he did. Plenty of talk before the race about how boring Dover is. Couldn't be farther from the reality. Announcers had given the race to the Toyota's, D.W. said Kenseth would win period, had the race circled..his race. The Gannasi cars running up front all day, only thing was Johnson, and then he got snookered. :) It was great IMO

According to media members at Dover, #2-Keselowski failed post-race inspection because his Ford was too low in the front. The car will be further examined at the NASCAR Research & Development Center. Penalties are typically announced on Tuesdays. Earlier this year #56-Truex, Jr. was penalized 6 points when his car was too low after the Texas race.

I don't know if has any bearing but Wolfe is on probation

will Nascar bring the hammer down for a second violation by the 2 team this year?

LOL. No, we ALL don't.
well I don't get it, Hamlin hairlips himself, Kenseth blows up, and the craziest of the bunch finishes the race? o_OThey need to clone that engine. Can't wait until it gets hotter, they will be exploding like popcorn. Ah Kez will get a few points taken off at the most, minor problem that probably happened in the race. Like Truex that had a shock fail I think it was.

Light weight trd rods exploding like firecrackers on the fourth of July.

Even though I was pulling for JJ and Kurt, he definitely jumped the restart and I think Nascar did the right thing. My hats off to Tony for sealing the deal.

Who the **** is TRD getting their springs from??????
When do they realize there's a quality control issue and seek another supplier?
Where would Matt be in the points right now without the engine failures, given the fact that he has led more laps than anyone else this year? We need an earthquake in Costa Mesa.

Screw that idea! That's to close to me.;):)

I would have more faith in Kyle's and Matt's championship chances if TRD engines weren't as much a liability as they are fast. Very hit-and-miss.

By the way, Jeff Gordon tied David Pearson for third on the all-time Top 5 list with his 301st today.
