I think that is part of the early problems this season they are having, the splitter is the lowest part they tune the chassis too and a lot of teams have the splitter hitting too much on runs. but on a road course they don't use the splitter so something else in the front of the car is going to be the first thing to hit the track I would guess(might be the tires hitting the top of the fenders, watch for Johnson's car to look like an SUV). I do think Nascar checks the rear spoiler height now though, they have a minimum spoiler height rule in the back. Last year they did away with the snowplow splitter so I would guess that will be gone again this year, my concern is when they short cut the corners and hit the curb. They used to do that on purpose to load the car thru the corner. Probably worried for nothing, they probably will keep doing it. Rear wheel hop should be reduced with the lower car would be another of my guesses. At any rate, it is going to be a different ballgame with the new changes.
