Ford 400 at Homestead

So it does actually pay sometimes to WIN races.

Congrats Tony and the entire 14 team

What a great driving job by Tony. What a class act by Carl. I have a whole new respect for both of them.:beerbang:

Thanks for the updates.... havnt worked all morning.

This sounds like a race that has just got to be watched again and again.

Congrats to the 14 crew.... big call and well done.

BEST FRIGGEN RACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was simply BAD ASS! Tony talked the talk and backed it up 100%! I've been watching NASCAR for 25 years or so and that was the best end to the season I can remember! I may be a Jimmie fan but Tony made Jimmie (and Carl, and the rest of the field) look like rookies with his BOLD moves to pass people. If every race was like that NASCAR would have three times the number of fans. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your are not kidding. Tony made so many balls out moves in that race, it was crazy

Who said NASCAR doen't reward wins. If you have to win five of the last ten races, so be it.

One for the ages, a cluster of thoughts.

Had to my call my brother, we started watching races in 1971, and there aren't many like this one.
We saw Alan Kulwickis big one in Atlanta, these two were classics, forever moments.

Wish my dad was still living, we always talked the big ones. We connected the racing to how we should live our lives.

Edwards nothing but class.

Tony, just a hardcore driver.

Old school, rugged, he ain't worried about being pretty, he just drives that thang like a possessed freak.
He's old school like A.J and classic Dale.

Thank you Tony, and Carl too, one for the ages.

One for the ages indeed. Absolutely incredible. That was better than the best movie ever made. Simply awesome.

What a show! havent been that nervous watching a race in a long time. I dont remember a season ending race where the race winner wasnt over shadowed by the champion lol.

Carl just said he prepared himself for this moment and thought about it alot. WOW! He didn't have his head on straight.

Damn, that was awesome. My guy came up one spot short. Congrats to Tony and SHR.

Glad to see you are a good sport. That was one hell of a good race. Could have been either one right up to the last lap. It absolutely does NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!

I know you are loyal and passionate, and thats a classy response.

All the best.....

Congrats to Tony and team on a great championship. This was the best race I've ever seen.:beerbang::beerbang::beerbang:

Congrats to Carl and his team for a great effort.

Whether we love it or hate it, I am pretty sure the responses in this forum is what NASCAR was looking for when the created the Chase, it just hasn't worked out until this year! lol

wins and consistency come down to an exact tie, and the wins takes the gold. I suddently think NASCAR got it figured out :)

That was Awsome. Had me on the edge of my seat. Loved it. That was some wheeling a car by Tony Stewart. Never been a Stewart fan but He drove his heart out tonight.

CONGRATS TO TONY, DARIAN AND THE ENTIRE TEAM

Yea, I'd say this was Brian's "game 7" that he was looking for.

I think Tony figured it out for them. For years to come, all chases and championship performances will be measured against what Tony did for 10 races in 2011.

Simply amazing for a guy who often seemed to be just riding around the track during previous chases.

Carl will be going crazy about that one point. The voice of Greg Biffle at the end of the Talladega race saying "Lets go" will be ringing in his ears. Carl figured out how to beat the consumate points racer, but nobody figured on the wild man showing up.
