Ford Racing

The millions and millions invested into the sport entitle them to something. Just because they aren't street cars the money,R&D, people and efforts deserve to be celebrated.

Besides Ford, the Penske team has proven they can win with three brands. Last year they had it tough with a new brand and very little to work with, but they have surprised me with how much they have improved this year. It looks like they are peaking at the right time. I think it is going to be tough for a non winner to win a race after next week's road course. I wish the Roush's would get it together. It would be a classic Ford Chevy battle then.

It might end at Indy however. Chevy has absolutely owned that place, winning the last 11 races there.

I am not a real big fan of those Found On Road Dead cars :D, I am happy that the Ford camp is as it seems, turning things around , and being competitive again, now if that driver of a Ford name Edwards was doing better, then I would be lot more happier.

Congrats to the Blue Oval brigade, been a long time since they've had a run like this.

Us Toyota fans with 2 wins in 19 races are envious. ;)

4/5 of TRD powered Toyotas in Chase position. We comin'!:punkrocke Congrats RYR and Ford!

Was worried you were going to notice my TRD Toyota improvement. Whew. Shhhhhhhh.......

This is more like "Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick vs Brad Keselowski"

Not so much all of HMS vs all of Penske and Ford.

[uote="SlicedBread22, post: 807182, member: 7141"]Meh... Joeys been a top 5 car every week... although, as has been for months... reliability is an issue..... and Mr Magoo over there[/quote]
Mr. Magoo seemed to derail a potential Penske 1 2 punch. As for the cars Logano is given, he is getting it done, his cars however are not. He did finish well in 9th that should have been send with a down cylinder. these things cannot happen if you want to be a championship caliber team. Failing cars does not make. They should be worried about that. The Pit crew of late has really stepped it up, as they should.

right now at this point, the nod goes to Kez, he is tied with the best Hendrick 48 with three wins, and he has out qualified him all year long. So Penske/Ford racing right now has a slight lead.

Agree 100% .. and its not the first time theyve run 1-2 for a majority of the race.... theyre both top 5 cars every week .. its brutal... running top 5 every week except 1 or 2 and I think about 4 times something has broke in the final 10% of the race... They have to figure that out, but I chalk it up to testing for the chase.. They have the freedom to use different setups to try to find speed, sometimes things break when you push that line.. Brad seems to be doing good while Joey has issues like that... I doubt its a coincidence that the last time Joeys car broke was when Brad still had only 1 win.

Not sure what ya did with the quote there lol

Even outside of wins and starting position... you look at the stats a 2 car team has compared to a 4 car team and Penske has quite the advantage when it comes to pretty much every stat. Yeah Hendrick has more top 5's and a better average finish, but not by much.. and they have twice the cars. I think the Penske advantage is slightly more than slight, especially if they can get Joeys car to stop breaking lol

Hendrick average finish-12.74, 23 top 5's

Penske- 14.55, 15 top 5's

The same way Ford owned Michigan. All good things come to an end. I have to imagine the Penske cars will be crazy fast at Indy seeing how fast they were at a flat New Hampshire.

Here is the Penske 2 car chart at Pocono, with the super long straights. Didn't matter what happened, Kez could drive to the front, but debris on he grill gave the win to a Hendrick 88, At any rate I believe they have speed too.

I'm not talking wins, I'm talking who has been consistently in position to win all year long so far.

I have no idea who or what that could be, I was looking at the two three time winners so far and Kez has won three times and lost a tough one at Pocono for junk on the grill. The 2 has been in a better starting position the the 48 consistently, so I would say that he has not only been in a position to win but he has won the most. Lots of racing left though.

Kez could/should have 6 wins already. The #2 is the dominate car this year. He had Indy won until that caution turned it into fuel mileage.

Harvick should have 6 or 7 wins as well but parts failures and a bad pit crew cost him a lot of race wins.

Harvicks situation is sad. He hasn't lost those wins, his team has. Kez has only himself to blame for the bag move, letting Kenseth block the hell out of him for 2 laps, and not pushing on Jr at Daytona when he threw a block.
