Details are starting to come out about Ford's factory return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, which will mark the 50th anniversary of Ford's first of four consecutive victories in the race (1966-1969) with the GT40. Among them:
* Next-generation Ford GT, with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6
* Constructed by Multimatic
* Roush Yates Engines will supply the power
* Chip Ganassi Racing will run the program (and drop their Daytona Prototype program)
Full rollout is expected in June.
