2013 Daytona 500 on now, followed by NASCAR Live and Sprint Unlimited practice. All NASCAR, all day until 11pm.
 
They asked at the top of the broadcast "Who will win the Great American Race?" I'm gonna put my money on Jimmie Johnson. Just a hunch.

Don't know if you caught the practice. Fs1 has a horrible graphics display. Not a ticker across the screen, but a big column taking up a good quarter of the screen on the right side. I'm hoping it's just temporary because it is dumb! Taking tv steps backwards.

this bunch is so stupid I can't believe who is pulling the strings, a monkey I guess. Have you noticed that they hardly have any paying advertising? It is mostly advertising themselves and off topic stick n ball news that isn't a paying customer. Looks like they have run off most of the auto related advertisers/sponsors. Probably have some for the race, but they are taking it in the shorts for this pre race programming.
 
I think this has to do with the NASCAR team more than anything.

Any other sport has a scrolling ticker from the sport I have seem.

Motocross, Basketball have their tickers working fine.

I think it might just be a Restrictor plate, practice thing.. I'm hoping anyway.
 
I don't know what you guys are bitching about. Fox Sports 1 coverage is phenomenal.

Nah, I wouldn't do that. CBS instead, gotta watch that UNC basketball game! ;)

I heard somewhere that Fox Sports 1 was going to be the end of NASCAR. Little or no coverage of the sport at all. Surely you must be mistaken about 11 1/2 hours of racing coverage? I don't know what to believe anymore. :D
 
So this engine thing has got me nervous... The 10 goes up in smoke immediately after the 14
 
So, FOX Sports 1 has a team owner who collects millions from a manufacturer in the booth tonight and a team's PR rep working as a pit reporter for some of the broadcasts.

I just realized that I forgot about the Sprint Unlimited practice :eek: What were the results and who was surprising and who was disappointing? Also Fox Sports will probably never stop broadcasting NASCAR until their announcing crew goes bad.
