The Martinsville Cup race will now be on FOX Sports 1 and the Richmond race on FOX. According to the press release, the swap was made because another live event conflicts with the Sprint Cup race at Richmond.
That's the beauty about the DVR..... It doesn't care what channel it's on it'll grab it every time. Besides, I'll be there anyhow. Cut the damn cord Andy. Go with the satellite provider of choice and put that issue to rest. We tote ours all over the place. Have Dish will travel. Whether I'm home in western PA or tucked somewhere in the mountains of WV, I've got every channel that I could want at my disposal.Noting for those who don't have cable. I'm moving to North Carolina and going without since the cable provider there doesn't offer FOX Sports or NBC Sports.

I agree, wife won't let me switch to the (supposedly) far superior picture quality of satellite (because cable companies compress their signals unmercifully) because she is afraid of the picture going out 0.000074% of the time, when it rains really hard. If I ever get a projection system (where picture quality over four times the area of my plasma TV really matters) I'll have to "go Direct".I'm going to see if I can't get DIRECTV up here and then transfer it with hopes of keeping all the channels here. Don't get MASN in NC, get the Carolina Panthers television network instead.

I simply tell mine to search for all NASCAR related broadcast on all channels. It records everything. I have it set to run over by two hours just in case of rain delays. Storage is no concern. I have two DVR's networked together, each with a 2tb HD.That's your DVR, my crappy U-Verse DVR wouldn't dream of switching channels automatically. Or (like the Sky Satellite system in Europe does, a fabulous feature) automatically recording until the event is finished, no matter how long it takes.
Can't you watch your home DVR system already with the DirecTV app?I never have to worry about not getting anything with DirecTV. And now, DirecTV customers can watch content online with both the Fox Sports Go app and WatchESPN app.
I get MASN in western PA.With satellite TV, you should be able to get the sports package and get MASN.
Given its proximity to DC and Baltimore, makes no sense that North Carolina doesn't get MASN.

Yep. Me also.Cut the damn cord Andy. Go with the satellite provider of choice and put that issue to rest. We tote ours all over the place. Have Dish will travel. Whether I'm home in western PA or tucked somewhere in the mountains of WV, I've got every channel that I could want at my disposal.
HD, coast to coast, boarder to boarder.Yep. Me also.
Is that like room and boarder?HD, coast to coast, boarder to boarder.![]()

Mine have no lines as I subscribe to a sports package that gives me all regional sports networks.I find sports network lines to be completely arbitrary sometimes. For example, for some reason, western Connecticut doesn't get NESN because of its proximity to NYC. People in Raleigh/Durham are closer to DC than they are Atlanta and should at least get MASN for baseball.

UFC 7483 must be on FS1 that night. The Martinsville Cup race will now be on FOX Sports 1 and the Richmond race on FOX. According to the press release, the swap was made because another live event conflicts with the Sprint Cup race at Richmond.
