Ganassi selling Cup team to John Menard?

Where is Teresa in all this???

Who the Frak cares?

His grandson Austin went out and got his own sponsors to run Finches 51 in cup for Texas. the kid is marketable.

Agreed. And if he pilots the 3 in CUP next year, I could see Goodwrench returning as a sponsor for a few races.

I think it's important to realize that Menard sponsors 4 teams across 4 series. Is there anyone else who does the same?

Menard spends lots of money on auto racing, including the Indycar Series and as you said, many other forays. I cannot see this as a bad thing. But Childress would lose Menards as a sponsor, cause fersure, Paul would follow Daddy's Money!

Give it a rest..It was a rumor..not happening..not even considered.o_O
I agree , but the performance of RCR ,Ganassi and Front Row , along with peoples hopes to get Dodge back into racing , makes it easy to speculate that the next big change could come from that group.

I guess my point was that even though Menard takes some heat for driving the Menard's car, they also sponsor other drivers and wouldn't we all expect our fathers to do the same for us if possible? Can you imagine the temper tantrums if they refused

Paul is already the lead driver at RCR and I don't see that changing for several years till the kids grow up. (Unless RC picks up a great free agent .)

99% of NASCAR drivers are in the sport because their dad let them drive in the late model feature on Saturday night when they were 16 years old, or something similar.

RCR needs to bring back the black #3 car with Kurt Busch...I am sure that would capture the attention of many including a big name sponsor.

I seriously think a talented yet aggressive driver is what RCR needs piloting the black 3 and Austin Dillon wont be anywhere as capable as Kurt for the next few years.

RCR needs a big shake up to survive and using some elements of their past glory days would help. Its too bad Kurt is such a douche in many people's eyes otherwise he would be the perfect driver for the black 3 car.

uhhhmmmm I would say the the Lead Dog at RCR is still Harvick - even though he is leaving at the end of the 2013 season. And any team that has Paul Menard as the lead driver is not a team that is worthy of consideration for championships, IMO. Paul is a nice enough guy and I'm sure he wants to do well, but...

I know that you're right and all that ...but I see a heck of a lot of drivers (including Kevin) who aren't in the top ten right now .
