GAS.....

Gas is already over $3.00/gal in California,so it won't be long before the rest of the country will see that price. I predict mid to late August.

I'm in Los Angeles and the last I saw it was 2.29 to 2.39 for regular and 2.59 for premium.......but in Malibu they were talking 3 dollars and 3.11....
I am sure when I go out this saturday it will be higher then last saturday.....

$1.77 here. It'll cap soon, the market won't bear it for long.

To keep predators away, of course.

Oh, you meant gasoline. My bad. We use it to run our generators.

Just saw on the business news early this morning that oil went up to $41.17/barrel yesterday! That is the highest it has ever been! Folks this isn't going to end soon, refineries can not keep up with the supply and demand, plus Opec has not upped their production. Venezeula has had much political unrest and violence in their country, thus hurting their production, this all contributes to the overall picture...not to mention the war. Time we started looking to Alaska and Canada for some help. Too bad that that will take too long and we the consumers will have to bare the burden of higher gas prices. What i meant by Canada and Alaska ...... there is a lot of untapped oil and natural gas there that hasn't been accessed due to the environmental controversy.

hehehe

Seriously guys I was listening to my owner talk at work and he said BP isnt gonna go down soon. Because it seems like people will pay for it no matter what the cost.

$2.07 for regular and $2.29 for premium here in WNY. And wow, if its this much on land I wonder how much it will be out on Lake Chautauqua this summer. If its $2.50 on land, It'll be well over 3 on the lake. I can't wait to open up the paper and see all the boats for sale :p

There is nothing willing about folks having to pay the gas prices. It's a must for most folks to get to work. Unless you have a bus stop right in front of your home, you have to drive. So it's not the fact that people are willing to pay the higher gas prices, it's that they don't have a choice. ;)

Good idea..........I'll pull a trailer with 500 lbs of tools and put a ladder rack on it to carry 1 six ft step, 1 eight ft step, 1 twelve ft step, and one 28 ft extension ladder. :D Oh yeah, I guess I better leave around 6 pm Sunday to be on time by 6 am Monday...........got to cross those foothills between here and the Mohave Desert (about 60 miles). Wonder if I will be able to get to work on time!! Guess I better plan on finding a room for the week......a guy could get tired, ya know!! :)

Great answer.........simplistic, but great.

If this country had built 3-5 more refineries about 15-20 years ago we wouldn't be so dependent on foreign oil. The existing refineries can not keep up with the demand, so we have to depend on outside help to refine all the different grades of gasolines we use here in the US. No pre-planning has given this country problems for a long time. Gas here in CO. Springs is 2.02 for reg. and 2.23 for super.

Just heard on the news here, gas in Fullerton Ca, is over 4 dollars a gallon for full serve.....I haven't seen a full serve station for quite a long time, but this is totally nuts........where is it gonna end? till nobody can afford to buy gas anymore? work just to put gas in your car?

Don't want to start an argument here, but......

USA imports far less oil than one may think.
