I am going buy my wife a beginner's guitar. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It will be an acoustic guitar.
I am not opposed to using an amp.
She will try to learn folk-style music.
I want it to be simple to learn with room to grow.
I am looking for good value for the money.
I will buy a premium guitar on the next purchase, if it becomes a lifelong hobby.

Fender is probably the way to go. They have entry level guitars.

Amplifiers, can’t go wrong with Peavey, Kustom or Fender.

And if y'all end up looking for microphones or wireless guitar system, always buy Shure.

Plenty of good clones that are a fraction of name brands. But you have to look at fit and finish and the hardware and sound because some are junk. She needs to find one that fits her hands so I wouldn't recommend buying one sight unseen. You can go find a brand and model you like and check the jungle site to see if it is cheaper.

I let het pick. I wanted to get her something like a Gibson, Fender, I also saw an Alverez I really liked.

But Amy does accounting work and went with budget buy. .

She got a Donner guitar off of Amazon
