Gordon: Relationship with Bowyer still strained

I bet they are cool but it's another one of TVs ways to label the south as ridiculous & dumb. They've got a great business going but they have the stupidest ideas. If you live in the south you know what I'm talking about.

Ranks right up there with honey boo boo & swamp people.
I disagree, boo boo and swamp people are aimed at a different audience and none of them have Master's degrees and own multimillion dollar businesses, but after all it is entertainment.

Jeff Gordon is always the victim and has been his entire career. He has no more right to wreck anyone than they have to wreck him. Yet, soon as someone goes near him, they deserved it because they've wronged him at one time or another? I don't think so.

The truth is, Gordon has been a cry baby since the day he stepped into Nascar and there's plenty of video to prove it.
I think that's why I've never liked the guy. He's always had this sense of entitlement that rubs me the wrong way. He's always raced people hard and has used the bumper on more than one occasion, but whenever somebody does the same to him he cries like a little girl.
Yeah, I know he won 4 championships like a hundred years ago, and there's a certain amount of respect that should come with that, but the dude thinks he's untouchable.

News flash for you two.... All drivers are like that.

Name one driver that has used the bumper to move a driver or wrecked someone that is ok with it when it happens to him?

Exactly and no one driver should be exempt or giving the right to "do as I say, not as I do."

That's probably true to an extent. Unfortunately for me, it's just one of many reasons I'm not a Gordon fan. Just like I'm sure there are a multitude of reasons why Gordon fans don't like Bowyer.

Watching these drivers scuffle is kind of amusing . Reminds me of the midgets wrestling years ago . Lots of action but nobody gets hurt .

<<<< Bowyer fan. I'm disappointed in what he did at Richmond. I'll stick with him though. I believe he's a good guy even if Mikey and Ty aren't.

Gordon's alright in my book, hell racin' is racin'.

I don't have any problems with what Gordon did to Bowyer. Bowyer wronged him a couple times - most notably at Martinsville. Then Bowyer tried to rough Gordon up that day. I've always said if you're going to retaliate against someone, make sure it counts. Bowyer was in contention for a championship and decided to rough up a guy who already had it out for him. Gordon did exactly what he should've done - took Bowyer clean out of the championship battle.

I like rough racing as much as the next guy - it makes for a good show. I don't like dumping drivers though. However, if you dump a guy, you're going to get it back.sooner or later.

And drivers don't forget stuff either. Funny story, I was at Old Dominion for a race in 2009. Street Stock feature, two older guys racing each other on track - one was several laps down. The dude who was several laps down turned right and flat took out the leader. After the race, he told me, "That ************ took me out of race when I was leading the points back in 1992. I've been waiting to get him back for a long time." :lol2:

Sounds familiar? Well it should.

Matt Kenseth has been a whiner his entire career as well.

He rarely takes resposibility when something happens around him or when he's the cause of a wreck. Always with the sappy, I dont know what happened look.

Two way street my friend. Kenseth knows it too well.

I liked Clint before 2012.

Thought he was a cool guy.

The only reason why I dont like the guy anymore is because of what transpired between Gordon and him and what he did this year solidfy him as a bonofide douchebag.

He can try to play nice all he wants but he'll have to live with the shame him and his team pulled this year.

I stopped respecting Clint Bowyer after Richmond, before that I loved his ADD fueled interviews, but now I can't look at the guy and see the same person anymore.

I don't exactly agree with what Clint did at Richmond either, but I'm still a fan of his and I hope that the passage of time can heal some of what happened. I remember I was disgusted with Kurt Busch a couple years ago when he launched his f-bomb tirade on Dr. Jerry Punch. But, I 've moved on from that and don't mind him now, and others seem to have done the same.

Well there's a difference between dropping f-bombs on a radio (or TV show, I dunno which one it is) and trying to manufacture a finish that would benefit you and your team. One of them is easily excusable after the hype dies down, the other one put a scar on the face of NASCAR and calls the legitimacy of the sport into question.

Yeah I was going to say something but it was too obvious to waste a post on what the difference was.
