Gossage rages again over F1 race

Guy is way too emotional. It's not some personal slight or an "attack on NASCAR." The USGP was originally scheduled for November 9th, but got moved up a week because the Longhorns have a home game against West Virginia that weekend. It would've been a logistical nightmare.

There's very little overlap between F1 and NASCAR fans anyways. The few that do overlap, and can actually afford to go to the GP, can almost certainly attend the spring race at Texas instead.

Your right, Gossage is just taking the chance for more publicity but raging? Nah, just spouting off.

Yep. The logistics of two major sporting events spread out over 200 miles is much better than the logistic of two major events spread out all of 15 miles.

Great weekend of racing, I will watch them both and be happy doin it :pbjtime:

Bernie is a greedy little troll thats always pissin somebody off, nuthin new here

Most Nascar fans probably wont admit they watch F-1

F1 fans think that Nascar is some stupid hillbilly sport with a bunch of rednecks driving in circles. Nascar fans think that F1 is about as exciting as watching the wind blow a trash bag down the street. Those two fan bases aren't gonna be torn over which event to attend.

Yep, it shouldnt be an issue at all

bernie said today it was logistics issue. hogwash ! look at '14 schedule.

NBCSN has the encore start between 1-3 PM most of the time.

Awesome, I'll pay closer attention next time.

You got no cable tv yet ??

When did I say that I didn't? I do but I am missing most sports channels. I recently discovered that I actually do get NBCSN, it was just buried deep.

Still missing FS2 and a bunch of other ESPN ones.

Go WVU:salute:

Back to the topic: I'd attend the F1 race if given the opportunity but its just a bit too pricy.

All of the above, plus I try to watch Australian V8 Supercars and the BTCC when I can, and I'll try to follow the WEC this year too.
I like the V8 Supercars too. But it is a challenge finding broadcast info for the various racing calenders I have.
