Born in 1936. He would have been 79 today.

I don't have to tell you he was my favorite. I grew up watching him through my high school days. He was my hero. First class all the way. And as I remember it, back then, kids picked out decency, dignity and goodness for their idols.

I was heartbroken and in disbelief when he died. I know I am not the only one who missed you through the years, Jim. The world was a better place with you. And racing sure took a step or two down the ladder of excitement and glamour without you.

So, Happy Birthday, Jimmy Clark. And God Bless you forever.

yep, they should have froze F-1 to that style IMO, today's cars look like they were put together with legos.
 
Great car and driver! Wonder what he would have done if he wasn't killed at the height of his career.
