sealed his fate with Monster??
I was hoping that they would return in the off season as his sponsor. Maybe they wanted to see how well he would do. Now that he has been eliminated do in part to a drivers error, they may feel justified in not renewing his contract.
The next question is will Hass support him for another season?

It's a valid question, considering the situation with sponsors and all.

I don't know if he'll be driving for SHR next year or not but do feel that they're lacking any consistent performance as an organization.

From what I understand, Monster has traditionally waited until the off season for the new deal. This year shouldn't be any different.

Maybe that works in other motor sports with smaller budgets / longer off seasons. If I were a team owner, I'd certainly be looking for a more predictable sponsor. I'd want to know if someone was staying or leaving, one way or the other, earlier than Thanksgiving. Of course, owners don't have the luxury of shopping around that they had 10 years ago.

Both SHR and NASCAR are having to wait on Monster to decide what they are going to do, and Monster is making NASCAR wait till 2018 I believe for their decision to stay on as title sponsor for 19

sealed his fate with Monster??
Hard question to answer, how do we know his fate was not sealed before the final 10 races started?, it sounded like months ago that Monster was unsure if they wanted to sponsor both the team and the series for another year, It seems as Monster is unsure as to what they want to do with their NASCAR sponsorship.

A few things...

1) Monster's fate with the #41 has nothing to do with playoff elimination/success.
2) I agree with the poster who said he never should have left the 78. I told him that then.
3) Cole and he already have kicked ass together. Cole was the lead engineer when he took that team to the Chase. They would have won 4 or 5 races that season if they had this year's pit crew. They were a top 5 car almost every race - that was all Cole. Having said that, had Kurt stayed with the 78, Todd might still be the CC and Cole the lead engineer. Or Cole might have taken a CC job elsewhere .
4) When Kurt went to SHR he begged Zippy and others to hire Cole. They didn't listen. They've since told Kurt they should have listened.
5) I think he'll be back with the 41. I learned my lesson after the Byron ordeal, so I won't speak too confidently. But right now, all signs point that way.

SHR, Harvick, and Kurt would have better seasons going if they were still running Chevrolets.

I think so far the consensus is that Kurt has his ride next season. I hope those people are right.
I have no faith in Zippy, never liked his style when he had Joey. Tony hasn't shown to be all that smart in who he hires either. For those reasons I doubt SHR will ever be more than a 2 car team.
