Heartbreaking Interview

Strange how a few chosen ones are never wrong..........and some are just never right. Depends if you are a "class act" or not, I suppose.
That has a lot to do with it, yes. If the Pope says he was at the daycare to impart his nlessings, I might believe him. If on the other hand it was Charlie Manson at the daycare, I might be a tad more reluctant to believe him. Of course, I don't believe everything I'm fed either, so that also plays into it.

Just some passing thoughts, no more...

Responding to the Pace Car question.............................LOL
Yes, it is Geoff Bodine!!! He has been driving the pace car at several events, if not most all of them.

*ahem* I thought it was BRETT Bodine. You can tell the difference because Brett is slower... ^_^

Why should i move out of the way??, sure they are goin' for the cup but if i move over and give them the spot they did not earn it. If i was in 15th place in the standings, i would race Martin as hard as i would Biffle, and if Martin was behind me, he would have to get around me i would not back off move up the banking and say "hey Mark, nascar has screwed you back in 1990(something) so here you go win the thing" this point system is a joke, as much as Mark Martins interview is Heartbraking, its called racing Mark...

from what i seen the 77 slowed down and the 4 got in the back of him, the 4 had no where to go....

Martin - for the most part - probably isn't considered to be an overly agressive driver and maybe expects some level of courtesy for that. That being said, he should realize that some drivers don't pull over for ANYONE, anytime and consider that when closing on slower cars. He's been around long enough to know that whining about something like that doesn't get you anywhere.
I sure don't remember Mark Martin or Ryan Newman really bearing down on Jimmy when he ran into Brendan! In fact I remember both cars were pretty far back when Spencer and Gaughan wrecked.........it was at that point that closing rates came into play. No Jimmy was not even trying to get out of the Martin's way.....there was no need to at that point since Martin and Newman had not caught him yet. It was just one of those "getting caught up in someone else's mess" things. It happens a lot in racing. No one knows if Jimmy would have moved over and let Mark and Ryan pass......he never got the chance. Besides, my bet is that he would have moved over. He did for Jimmie Johnson so why would anyone think he would have it out for Mark and hold him up? Pitiful interview from a "class act".

Here, so the tears will stop flowing for about 37.4 seconds...

From Jayski's

So..what happened with Spencer and Gaughan?....with only 30 miles to go, #4-Jimmy Spencer [running 14th on the lead lap] and #77-Brendan Gaughan crashed. "We had a tire going down," Gaughan explained. "And I wasn't going to make it in the pits, and I was trying to get down out of the way, and I thought I was on the bottom. Then, Blam. It was probably my fault. Maybe I didn't get far enough out of the way. Sorry for Jimmy. He had a good run going. If it was my fault, I apologize."

Wow, no mention of Spencer being at fault, racing with the leader, block, blah, blah, waaa, waaa.

It's a mindset, Fergie.........if you are Jimmy Spencer, Todd Bodine, Johnny Sauter, or a few other less popular driver you are automatically at fault if you wreck and involve some popular driver or a leader or some sentimental favorite.

You saw how quick some were to scream that Jimmy should not have a license to drive in NASCAR or that he should be removed from the series. Though I did not know the reason, at the time, why Gaughan slowed suddenly I did see what Brendan described in his interview..........Brendan was at fault and Jimmy Spencer was as innocent as Mark and Ryan in the incident.
